Chrysler invented the modern minivan as we know it today when it introduced the Town & Country alongside the Dodge Caravan and the Plymouth Voyager for the 1984 model year. Today, the Chrysler Pacifica ably holds down the minivan fort, leading the sales chart in 2025 in front of formidable rivals such as the Toyota Sienna, the Honda Odyssey, and the Kia Carnival. And with a significant update for the 2027 model year, Chrysler looks poised to keep the Pacifica fresh for the foreseeable future.

What’s New for the 2027 Chrysler Pacifica
The most obvious update for 2027 is an all-new front fascia with an illuminated grille, flanked by stacked LED headlamps that Chrysler calls “piano keys,” while the latest version of the brand’s wing logo leads the way up front. Last year’s budget-friendly Chrysler Voyager is now called the Pacifica LX, and keeps the older model's styling. Minor changes inside, including a Satin Chrome Chrysler wing badge on the steering wheel, new perforation patterns on the seats, and a new Blue Agave interior color with Copper Alloy accents in the Pacifica Pinnacle model, keep the interior looking modern.
Design
Chrysler says the 2027 Pacifica’s new face serves "as the blueprint for the next generation of Chrysler vehicles". In addition to the stacked piano key lighting signature, a pair of projector headlamps integrated into the lower fascia is said to provide a 20% improvement in low-beam performance and a 25% improvement in high-beam performance over the previous model. The lighting at the rear of the minivan has also been updated for 2027. Chrysler has eight new wheel designs for the 2027 Pacifica, which, when paired with a new palette of colors including Olive Green, Ember, Glass Gray, and Steel Blue, set the new version apart from the outgoing model.
Powertrain
Chrysler is phasing out its hybrid portfolio, and for 2027, there’s no plug-in version of the Pacifica minivan. The only engine offered will be a 3.6-liter V6 that sends its 287 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque to the wheels through a nine-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive (FWD) is standard, and all-wheel drive (AWD) is optional. Chrysler’s AWD system decouples when it’s not needed for enhanced efficiency, can send up to 100% of the engine’s power to the rear wheels when needed, and constantly adjusts power delivery to the wheels with the best traction. When properly equipped with the Trailer Tow Group, it can tow up to 3,600 pounds.

Interior
Chrysler has offered its unique Stow ’n Go seating and storage system since the 2005 model year, and the Pacifica keeps it for 2027. Both the second and third rows of seats can be folded flat into the floor, which creates a versatile cargo area with more than 140 cubic feet of space. When the seats are upright, useful storage bins can be used to keep gear out of the way. Importantly, Stow ’n Go is available in both FWD and AWD Pacifica models. Chrysler offers both seven- and eight-seat interior setups in the Pacifica. The base LX model (without the exterior refresh of other 2027 Pacificas) features black leatherette upholstery and heated front seats, as does the Pacifica Select. The 2027 Pacifica Limited gains Nappa leather seating surfaces in black, while the top-level Pacifica Pinnacle gets an upgraded center console and premium interior furnishings, including perforated leather in a black-and-dark-blue two-tone with copper accents. Active noise cancellation, acoustic glass, and triple door seals help to keep the interior quiet.
Technology
A 10.1-inch touchscreen running Chrysler’s latest Uconnect 5 infotainment software sits in the center of the dashboard. Buyers who opt for the available Theater Group get a pair of 10-inch touchscreen monitors for second-row passengers that have Amazon Fire TV built in. The optional FamCam package adds interior cameras and a split-view monitor on the infotainment screen so front-seat occupants can keep an eye on those in the rear. Chrysler offers a Stow ‘n Vac integrated vacuum, which is optional on Pacifica Limited models and standard on the Pinnacle.
