The RAV4 Hybrid features a modern interior with soft-touch materials and a straightforward layout. This means the RAV4 Hybrid has a standard AWD setup, putting out a net 194 horsepower. This setup features stop-start capability, full EV mode, and regenerative braking, which captures energy from braking to recharge the batteries.
Due to the RAV4 Hybrid’s regenerative braking, stop-and-go fuel efficiency is actually its best category, returning fuel economy of 34 mpg city, 30 highway, and 32 combined.
The RAV4 Hybrid comes standard with Toyota Safety Sense P, or TSS-P. This suite of safety features consists of forward collision warning and avoidance with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and dynamic cruise control.
Other standard safety features include front and side impact airbags, reversing camera, tire pressure monitoring system, hill start assist, and enhanced vehicle stability control. I found 2018 Toyota Rav 4 hybrid with 197,000 miles for $15000. The car has been in an accident at 50,000 miles. Is this a good car to buy? I only have $15,000 to spend and MPG , safety and longevity are important factors in buying a car to me.
I am in the market for a RAV4 Hybrid and have been aware of the 2019+ RAV4 Hybrids having the fuel tank issue where they cannot fill up the gas to to Full. Do the older RAV4 (2018 and older) have this issue? I don't think they do but not sure.
Vehicle failed unexpectedly. Locked in Park. Towed to dealer. Sat in lot for 72 hrs at -35C. Dealer reports battery dead; not able to recharge, no batteries available. Now out of commission for a week. Any similar experiences? If so Any response from Toyota ?
