Nothing says “flagship” like 631 hp, except perhaps 487 lb-ft of torque, or a 211-mph top speed. Truth be told, everything about the 2009 Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 screams excess, especially the pricetag. This mid-engine monster offers two seats by way of the iconic Lambo scissor doors, inviting you to supra-legal jaunts that have some reviewers calling this not a supercar, but a hypercar.
What else can you expect from a manufacturer that releases a caveat with its roadster not to take the car above 100 mph with the top up, just in case it flies off on the Autobahn. Say hello to sunny days, and if you’re really worried about all that speed, racing tires are, of course, optional. The Murcielago's full-time all-wheel-drive system is rearward biased normally, with 70 percent of its incredible power sent to the rear wheels, but depending on need and conditions, any amount of power can be sent front or back. That means you’ll see 60 mph in fewer than 3.5 seconds. That also means you’ll never see more than 14 mpg, even on the highway, and city mileage is just plain miserable, topping out at 9. So much for an energy crisis.
The options list is long and pricey, capable of tacking another 20% of the vehicle's already substantial $350,000 cost onto the final bill. Deleting the hard top alone will cost an additional $33,000, but then who’s counting? Since they are concerned with value, Lambo provides a healthy list of standard features as well, like 18-inch wheels, an adjustable suspension (so you don’t tear off the body work when entering the grocery store parking lot), quilted leather upholstery, and Xenon headlamps, for example.

April 27, 2010Just to clarify this isn't any ordinary Murcielago, it's the Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV. This car is truly remarkable, it's 100% quality and it may not be as exclusive as the Enzo's and the Reventon's but it sure is a contender to be just as good.

March 2, 2010its a fast car although it is convertible that doesnt affect the handling or the speed, 670 bhp 195 mph top speed. i wouldnt rcomend it for a daily basis but it has an adjustable sport suspension for track days.
October 2, 2009This car is cool. Looks sexy, runs amazingly, and handles great. The power on this baby puts muscle cars to shame. However, it's MPG is terrible. Insurance on it is also ridiculous. It is extremely fast, and a blast to drive

September 5, 2010it has a v10 engine and it has 670 bpl (brake horse power) it is not a normal murcialago it is an LP 670 SV it is orange with black tims and spoiler it cost me 700 000 to buy to be honest it does not have the best millage is it fun its a murcielago corse it is fun and by the way its build quality is very very good and not one repair till now
November 20, 2009Wicked!! Hell of a car this is the best of the best of the best. One of the fastest cars on earth the LP 640 is unique of its kind and everyone respects it, you can't die without driving a Lambo.
August 25, 2009Gas mileage is tough with that gas guzzling 6.5L V12 but the performance of the car makes up for that. 180 down the freeway is pretty awesome. Gotta love the scissor doors. One of the best cars in the world
July 4, 2010i like this car because it has a lot of speed and it is good for performance. The car would look good if the color was red. This is a fun car to drive because it goes fast and can do good turns.
