2008 Kia Rio (Base Model) Not Starting.
Have a 2008 Kia Rio (Base) Previously , when I tried to start the car it sometimes acted like it was flooded as it would turn over but not start. It sometimes after getting gas would do the same. I had error code indicating the MAS was bad. The car has 130K miles on it and the timing belt and fuel pump were replaced six months back. I replaced the plugs and coils as with the MAS sensor issue it was giving random misfire for cylinders 2 and 3. After replacing the coils and plugs the problem happens every start. I saw indication I should try starting fluid in intake. Was going to try this. I also already had purchased a MAS sensor but found it quite difficult to get to the two screws on back of intake housing as they face the firewall. Any suggestions I would appreciate. I was going to try the starter fluid today. Any suggestions on how to remove the MAS sensor ? Do I need to remove the throttle body? I tried to get a small ratchet screwdriver onto it but no success. If the MAS is bad will the starting fluid still try to work. The car was running fine for last six months. Just 1 out of 10 fill ups it acted like flooded on first start after gas. Then once in 10 days I would have issue where it would not fire but if I waited say ten minutes it would correct itself.
