Besides some exterior and interior updates, the biggest change for the Buick LaCrosse in 2008 came in the introduction of the Super trim, which sports a 5.3 L, 300 hp V8 engine. The Super goes from 0-60 mph in 5.7 seconds. With the addition of this high-powered variation, the LaCrosse now has 4 trims.
The other 3 trims sport V6 engines and all 4 trims have 4 speed automatic transmission. Gas mileage generally runs from 20 mpg in the city to 29 on the highway. All 4 trims have 4 doors and seat 5-6 passengers.
Overall, the 2008 Buick LaCrosse looks like a good buy for the older crowd with its elegant design and capable powertrain selection. In addition, the list of standard features looks relatively comprehensive. This new model should hit stores in late 2007.
Just acquired this 2008 Lacrosse from a relative. It has uplevel buttons in the center console dash but the DIC in the instrument cluster will not display ANYTHING. It is dark all the time. What to do?
Buick wont start, replaced blown coil pack, ignition module, crankshaft position sensor, all spark plugs, and electronic ignition module fuse and still will not start.

Can anyone explain why my battery keeps going dead? I just put a new battery in in the past 3 weeks and have had to jump start it 4 different times. I was told it was my door locks draining my battery so I have changed all but one because the mechanic said it was good. My alternator and starter are also fine could someone please explain what the problem could be and if it is my locks then can I disable them and just use my key? I have a 2008 Buick lacrosse cxl,I've replaced the starter and solinod switch,all fuses r good...new battery also it won't start from the key but will start from the starter but won't stay running...I've also got ignition switch its getting put on this morning...do you know anything that causes this
