Write a reviewAlways marketed as a sportier full-size luxury sedan, the 2007 Nissan Maxima goes through an exterior and interior overhaul in an attempt to win back drivers who flocked to the cheaper Altima or better equipped Toyota Avalon. Both the SE and more luxurious SL trims of the 2007 Maxima feature the 3.5-liter, 255-hp DOHC V6, but this year it gets a new CVT continously variable transmission with a manual mode, for smoother gear transitions. The CVT is an attempt to get rid of a major torque steer issue that plagued past Maximas. There are also new 17 and 18-inch tire options. The instrument panel gets redesigned gauges and the front seats get more supportive bolsters. On the outside, new fog lights and stretched headlights surround a tweaked grille. A restyled rear bumper is also added. The sports-oriented SE sedan gets a bigger rear spoiler. The 2007 Maxima comes with plenty of standard features, including front and side curtain airbags, ABS brakes, and traction control. A SkyView sunroof that runs the length of the cabin is also standard. New for 2007 is remote start. The SL comes with heated leather seats as well as wood trim and a new power seat capability for the passenger. Some added options this year include an MP3 player and rear parking sensor. An Elite Package adds heated rear seats and a center console that runs from front to back. The spaciousness of the large 2007 Maxima sedan has always been a high point for owners. The new interior, though not particularly fancy, has been nicely updated. Most drivers applaud the CVT for its smooth, barely perceptible shift behavior. Drawbacks include a wide turn ratio, surprisingly poor gas mileage, and quirky handling that some feel is still a result of bad torque steer.

Nissan Maxima’s have always been our favorite model. Owned a few different models in the past but this 2007 is truly beautiful. Very well built & smooth ride. I love the sun roof/ moon roof. Unlike most that are only in the front of the car this one is all the way from front to rear of back seat. The 2007 SE model is definitely a must buy.

I Love, Love, Love my Maxima !! I would reccomend taking the extended warranty IF you are going to keep your car past the factory warranty. It can get extremely expensive and the warranty costs outweighs the benefits at Nissan!! Check it out for yourself!!Feb 16, 2015

The maxima is sporty and luxurious into one. I would highly recommend the car to anyone who is looking for a reliable automobile at a great price. I drove this car to 126,00 miles on it and unfortunately the transmission went out on it. I was told they used the wrong transmission fluid and the axle leak helped shake it apart. It's a nice enough car i am going to keep it to get the transmission fixed but i cannot drive it at present due to the unreliability of it. My opinion above is before the transmission issues.Jul 18, 2014

Winter mountain driving is no issue for this car as long as you have the right tires, of course. The keyless entry system and various warnings to show open doors, tire pressure issues, and maintenance due warnings are a plus!
This car handles great when driving in the city!
Ok for a small family. Fits a child seat comfortably, with room for two other passengers in the rear seats. Multiple air bags and very safe overall.Apr 15, 2012

A very surprising car that delivers a lot of power from the "VQ" engine. Solid
construction, but I did notice a slight squeaking in rear suspension. With the fast
acceleration, this car is really fun to drive. Overall one of the best cars I've ever
owned. Nicely trimmed with goodies inside as well with the Bose Audio system,

I would say the car is all around nice to own and good for everyday use.
The downfall is it makes really wide turns and gas goes quicker than id

I love this car! I enjoy the ride and the drive. I also love the heated seats and steering wheel. AWESOME sound system. It is very roomy but still stylish and fun. Would recommend!!! Super classy , and power to boot.
Didn't take me very long to get my first speed warning. I got to use the cruise control more. The tap shift is going to get me in trouble.

Accelleration and power are great in this car, very fast.
Couple of rattles here and there, but no big deal,
usually can get diagnosed at the dealership. Looks
great, very classy yet it has a sporty edge to it. Eats up

I've bought many Nissan Maxima's and I think the 2007 Nissan Maxima SL is the best one yet !! I installed an E & G Classics quarter by quarter mirror finished stainless steel grille that puts the factory grille to shame and I've also installed the Sherwood dash kit which really compliments my dash overall look and I've added "SL" factort chrome wheels !!! I couldn't be more happy with this Maxima and I'm glad that I waited after the 2004-2006 Maximas ended !!! It was well worth the wait !!!Mar 03, 2008

I only drove this one once. It is the definition of a boat. Huge car, feels big on the road and handles pretty well. Good thing about it is #1 the very powerful V^ engine, it had a great grtunt to it and is silky smooth. The interior is great, leather seats, also the car has great options, bluetooth, memory in the car seat etc... Great car for baby boomers however not a young persons car.Dec 11, 2007

Nissan Maxima 2007 driver side window.
My driver side window on my Nissan Maxima just stopped working out of no where , at first I was able roll it down than it jst died. I go to click the power window button and it feels as if nothing is happening like no vibration from button nor window response ? Could it be a fuse or worst?
