cylinder is 2,4 and 6 misfiring.
I have 2006 X type jag cylinder 2,4,and6 is misfiring replaced spark plug and coils pack for all cylinders still only 2,4, and 6 are still misfiring

The X-Type continues as jaguar's entry-level car for 2006. This compact executive car was introduced in 2001, and was aimed to attract more potential buyers to the Jaguar lot. The X-Type is styled similarly to the classic XJ sedan, but it can be had for just more than half the price of the flagship.
There are two models available for this model year: the 3.0L Sedan and 3.0L Sportwagon. The smaller 2.5 liter engine has been dropped, along with the manual transmission. The grille and wheels designs have also been revised.
The both models are equipped with what Jag owners would expect. Standard features include leather seating, wood trim, full power accessories, a power driver's seat, and automatic climate control. The Sportwagon costs a bit more than the sedan, and adds a moon roof. The sedan has 16-inch wheels, and the wagon wears seventeens. Bluetooth connectivity and Sirius are new options this year. Other upgrades include the Sport Package (stiffer suspension, 17-inch wheels, HID headlights) and the VDP Edition (premium Alpine audio upgrade, seat piping, heated seats, rain-sensing wipers). A navigation system is also available.
The 3.0 liter V-6 delivers 227 horsepower and 206 pound-feet of torque, and is teamed with a five speed automatic transmission. Both models are full time all-wheel drive.

I have had since new and done 60k miles in it untroubled. Only gripe is I have an automatic and there is no left foot rest. Hardly the worst thing in the world. I was due to replace my car in Jan but decided against it as I like this car so much.Aug 17, 2009

I had a chance to drive this car because my Land Rover broke down, so my dealer rented this for me (completely free!!). I had never drove a Jaguar before but first impression are rather good. It's comfy and the build quality is super. Very powerful V6 and much more features than you would expect..

2006 Jaguar X-type Bank 1 System Too Lean
Hi everyone, I bought a 2006 Jaguar X-type a month ago. On the first day of purchasing, the engine light was on. I went to a local Firestone and had my car repaired. The engine code was P0171, which was Bank 1 System Too Lean. Firestone replaced a brake booster hose, a vacuum hose, and an intake valve for me. Then after one day, the code came again. I went to a small auto repair shop and had my car checked there. The mechanics there checked my car and replaced an air mass sensor. After three days, the P0171 code was on again. I went to Jaguar dealership and let them check my car. They told me that the lower intake had severe air leak. Then I went to the repair shop and let them repair the lower intake. They replaced all of the lower and upper intake gaskets and said that there would not be any leak. Now the engine light is on again. I don't know who I can trust now. I called the dealer, and he broke the warranty and refused reimbursement. I am depressed and helpless now. I am a car virgin. It is my first car. I don't know what I can do now.
