The last of the "old" generation of the C70, this ragtop version of the Volvo Coupe (which was discontinued after the 2003 model year) enjoyed one additional year of life before its 2005 hiatus, during which it was redesigned with a three-piece, hard convertible top. This attention-getting car was already pretty enough, but this year there are even more color options for the interior. The two new colors are Volcano Red, with complementary aluminum dash inlays, and Linen White with birch wood. It's no surprise that air conditioning, and power windows, locks, and seats ABS, air bags, stability control, traction control User reviews reflect pleasure in the car's style, quietness, and roomy backseat. They lament its disappointing turning radius, cheesy cup holders, poor rain gutter design, and the blind spots that are present with the top up.

Very good value since it’s in mint condition and has fewer than 80,000 miles. Only complaint is the adjustment for the steering wheel doesn’t go down far enough. Car runs great and has spunk with the turbo. Seats are spectacular and radio is grand. Aug 29, 2022

I got one have a problem with the soft top, there is a layer inside can break apart and block the water outlet and cause the trunk fill with water, other then that the LPT is great, fast and responsive and fun to drive.Feb 02, 2021

car is ok. nice when top is down. Terrible over bumps. good stereo system though. not so great handling. good on gas. you can get it for a good price cause really its a older persons car but still fun for anyone in the summer time.Jan 28, 2015

Bought if from a friend - overall happy with it. Back seat is hard to access - front power seats are more of a pain than a help. Handling and speed are great. Would look to move up to new body style.Nov 17, 2014

I bought this car as the third owner. It had 8900 miles on it and was 4 years old. Still under warranty. Not my daily driver until recently. Outstanding performance. Has 30k @ 9yrs old (made in APR 2005). Fantastic quality, love the comfortable front seats. Just an all around great car.Aug 05, 2014

I really loved this car and would not be selling except that I need 4x4 and more space to cart things around. It was SO smooth it practically drove itself, was understated and elegant, everyone remarked on it (even compared to newer, more 'upmarket' cars), and so much fun with the top up or down. The little luxuries - power-memory-heated seats, assisted parking (makes up for blind spots with hood up), Bose stereo, smooth acceleration - always made me feel pampered. Nice looking car. Poorly designed trunk and interior. Back seats are a pain to get in/out. Top closes easily but I'm holding my breath. Interior leather is not high quality for the price. Volvo bombed out when designing this car and since it's one of the last rag-tops for volvo, they missed an opportunity to shine. My 99 S70 has more going for it than the C70.Dec 30, 2012

It is gorgeous and it is a very safe car. Definitely a
good car to give to a first time driver.
The interior is also gorgeous.
It is a fun car to drive. It is a very good car overall.

only bad point on this car is the crap turning circle. The build quality is excellent the hide compliments the unusual pearlescant colour and the wood trim finishes it nicely. All things considered it is fairly economical and the roof mechanism is far superior to that on my merc sl. all in all recommendedAug 11, 2008
