I liked how sporty this car looks and it drives the way it looks, fast! I enjoyed the automatic convertible top and the leather seats were a great touch. It had decent gas mileage, pretty good for a sports car with lots of pep. Maintenance was cheap on the car and fairly easy to perform. Overall a lot of fun to drive!Oct 21, 2014

Handles well, drives smooth, 33 mpg hwy and 25 city. Accelerates well, no blind spots, rear window a bit small. Required routine maintenance. Car seats are comfortable, rear seat leg room tight for tall people. Nice sleek sporty car, sits low to the ground.Oct 31, 2013

If you ever decide to buy one, get anything other than silver or gray. The colors silver and gray doesn't really do the car justice. It's easy on the eyes to look at but at the same time you want a color that's gonna make this car POP out at you and say "oh hell ya"!!May 27, 2013

I loved the comfortable seating for a person taller that 5'11 without being cramped. The seats are comfortable and even with the top down the the A/C blows cold. The car is dependable , gets great MPG ( 25-28 ) . Never had any problems with car in over 3 years, drove it up from Florida without any problems. Great carMay 23, 2013

Just do your homework before you get this car. It can be your friend or your enemy! Simple parts can be so expensive and there for major parts ares crazy money even when from a pull a part. I love this car but when it starts falling apart its time to get a new one.May 23, 2013

Great car, very sporty, lots of fun with the top down. Plenty of power for such a small car. Top is a one touch operation, very convenient. Interior is very confortable, spacious in the front seat, not much of a back seat. Plenty of trunk space for a sporty convertible.Apr 26, 2013

She looked for along time for this car. It is a great fit for her. She loves the looks and gas milage. Wish the top did not leak but all in all its a great car. And when it gets out of the shop I hope to get my truck back from her.Jan 29, 2012

Its ok. First car not bad, I have had fun tuning it out as clean as possible, tuning the engine is impossible and useless unless you force induct it (which is expensive) but overall the looks are slick when clean.Sep 02, 2010

I absolutly love my eclipse, havent ran into any of the issues that anyone else has seem to have with theirs, except for the condensor pan getting plug up, and the thermostat needing replaced.But those were al easy fixes, now on to getting it all trickedout .Aug 15, 2009

First off the body styling is absolutely beautiful. I love curves, on the road and on the car. The interior styling is modern and subtle, not eccentric like...other...manufaturers now owned by the government. Solid build, has not needed any serious repairs beyond routine maintenance. Gas mileage is great and improves with intake and exhaust upgrades. The MVIM Intake Management System shows its prowess after 3000 RPMs when it remaps the fuel/air ratio. The exhaust not gets real racy and there is a very noticable spike in acceleration. The lower gears have plenty of torque while the higher gears give plenty of top end speed. The suspension takes curves like a champ. This car is the most fun I have had with my clothes on. This car is and will always be my baby.Jun 30, 2009

i love the look and feel of the car. i love the idea that its a sports car and i can accelerate the speed and also be able to put on the breaks smoothly. i dont like that its expensive to own and the payments you make are a bit high. yes it is a lot of fun to drive even tho it seems that its a car everyone wants.Jul 08, 2008

Car died, now won't start
I fueled up with Supreme Unleaded, drove approx 25 mi on freeway, drove to my friend's house and not 400ft away, my car power killed and the motor sputtered, but didn't die until about a minute after this all went down. Started it again, no power and when I pressed down a little bit on the gas pedal, the motor killed. Previous owner replaced fuel filter and pump, I've had the car for 4 months with no issue until now. *The front side to mount is broken, not sure if that counts here*

Double din stereo
Is it possible to install a double DIN stereo in a 2003 Mitsubishi eclipse? The reason I ask is because when you look for the installation kit there is only an installation kit available for the car for a single DIN stereo, no double DIN kit exist, so I thought I'd buy a universal kit but before I do, the thought occurred to me that maybe a double DIN kit doesn't exist because there's not enough room to install it
