The 2003 Honda Accord reconfirms the fine reputation Honda has for manufacturing a dependable product. This automobile is comfortable inside, however in doing so sacrifices trunk space. Otherwise the clean design, powerful engine, quiet ride and high trade-in value are well worth the price - ranging from $13,000 to $16,900. For those concerned with gas mileage, safety and emissions, the Accord scores higher than most vehicles in its class.
What owners say
"Overall, drivers love the 2003 Honda Accord for its reliability, comfort, and impressive fuel economy. Many appreciate the smooth handling and solid performance, especially with the V6 engine. However, some drivers have noted concerns about maintenance costs and performance in snowy conditions. Features like spacious interiors and good sound systems are frequently highlighted, while a few drivers mention issues with brakes and the overall bland exterior design."
Extremely reliable. Amazing comfortable ride for any price point. Spectacular engine. 240 horsepower. Great suspension. Superb braking. Lots of headroom and legroom for all seats. Excellent trunk space. Paint chipping is the reason I don’t give it perfect rating. Rides as good now as 20 years ago when new. Highly recommended.
September 3, 2022Performance - Handling, braking Build Quality - Never needed repairs Appearance - Dashboard design is great, Seats are great Cost of Ownership - Great mileage of 25 mpg in city + highway Fun Factor - Car is awesome to drive on freeways as well as in the city

April 2, 2008I've had the car now for a year, and my grandmother had it for 9 years before me. It now has only 17,800 miles on it and it has been a fantastic car! For a mid-size seddan, the handling is pretty good, and the steering has good feel, and the throttle is very responsive. All these factors make for quite a fun car to drive. The only pet peeve of mine is that the brakes are realy grabby, which can be quite annoying and cause a subpar ride for others. The 4-cyl engine has some nice pep, and accelerates nicely from a standstill, though could have more torque because steep hills can be trouble for the tranny. And speaking of transmissions, I do not like this one. It is the 5-speed automatic, and it seems as if the gear ratios are all over the place, and it isn't the smoothest transmission at all. Other than that, the rest of the car is perfect. I like the interior styling and equippment, and I was genuinely impressed with the power of the stock speakers! Gas mileage is spot on what the manufacture rating was in 2003, about 25 city/ 34 highway. I love the thing to death, and could not have had a better first car.
May 30, 2013I purchased this car in May 2003 and drove it across country. I put 15,000 miles on it in about 2 years and re-sold it. The Accord had lots of interior room, and was built first-rate. The 5-speed manual transmission was very smooth, with easy clutch engagement. I never experienced any problems with this car.
December 28, 2007This is a great car. Performance is very good for a 4 cylinder. The car handles like a sports car with the low profile tires. It never needs repairs. The exterior is a little bland but reasonable. This interior is great. This car averages 28 city and 32 highway.
March 13, 2011Performance – Acceleration, braking, handling excellent Build Quality – No needed repair cause no squeaks/rattles.Its very good. Appearance – Both interior and exterior styling and very nice. Cost of Ownership – Gas mileage, maintenance not bad still can effort. Fun Factor – Is fun to drive and smooth to drive. Overall very good.
March 14, 2009We purchased this car in El Paso, TX while stationed in NM. Took it with is to Belgium where with put some miles driving all over Europe. Then we moved to the UK and now back in the States and the car is as good as the the day we bought it. These Honda vehicles are cheap to maintain, very safe and comfortable. No regrets.
January 18, 2009\\\Acceleration is good... ABS is messed up because once u push the brake hard, slide pretty hard and braking in wet surface is bad or maybe its the tires.. handling is awesome. Build quility is solid but not that much because of the plastic surface... sound system is sizzling. Appearance is good but the draw back could be the Deck that cannot be changed or modified... built in Pioneer system by the company Mileage is very good but maintenance is expensive compared to other vehicles e.g Toyota, Nissan. It is fun to drive... pretty smooth on the heavy and the leather seating makes it more comfortable and luxurious////
August 31, 2008I have the Luxury V6. Nothing to fault with it. Excellent build quality, easy to clean up after my children spill chips and milk all through it. Never had to do anything but service it. Goes very well up big hills. If you turn traction control off it will certain spin the front wheels. It is a fun car to drive. Holds it's value well.
