Very reliable car,never experienced any problems with it !!Would recommend it to a friend.Back seats fold down.it gives more space in the trunk.Went on a long trip,very comfortable .can put baby car sear in the back.overall 5 starsJan 03, 2015

Great car! Fast and has a great engine! Looks very luxury and sport at the same time! Interior is small but nice! Black is preferred! saves gas! Handles nicely! doesn't have to be fixed alot if at all for a long time!Mar 25, 2014

I think this car is all that and a cup of joe. Besides the small cosmetic issues on the exterior its in great shape for a 2002. Chic smooth car,bose system ,sirus xm equipment installed. Compared to the 2002 e320 this car looks in my opinion 10 years newer . Featured in Mr and Mrs Smith for a reason for its uppermwrket style,it retailed for $41͵000 new. Before i brought this c320 , i looked at the 2004 328 wagon also ,but once i found this , i never looked the buy bmw again. But i must mention that if you dont have a personal mechanic , it can be costly for repair.

Decent car, drives better than my mothers 2012 Chrysler 200 but not as good as the Z3. Can be fairly snappy if you have a lead foot but slowish with passive driving. Handles really well, tight steering and no over/under steer. Jul 17, 2012

I love the cruise control, it has a great memory. I am very comfortable driving along the hwy w/out use my feet. When I want to stop it brakes very smooth. I love the way it looks and the moon roof is nice. And the interior is clean.Nov 03, 2010

My car is about 8 years old now and at 70k miles still runs like new. I had a few problems with it, all VERY minor. Though I had to sink about 8-10k into the car after buying it, I think it was worth it. But word to the wise, do NOT buy this car unless you are willing to keep up with the repairs. Though its a lovely car and drives AMAZING, it WILL nickle-dime you to death. The mileage is great, I get about 30 on the high way. There are no squeaks or rattles, and the leather looks new. It is a very fun car to drive, and I don't want to give it up for a very long time. BTW I own this car in a manual, shifting is a breeze, double clutching isn't necessary most of the time.Jun 03, 2010

Quick pull, alot of torque and good power band. Maximum torque at 1800rpm. Brakes are great, as expected from most Mercedes-Benz'. Stiffened sway bars for improved handling. About to be lowered 1" with eibach springs.
Very strong exterior and very durable body.
Paint chips on the hood from being parked outside everyday. AMG CLK alloy rims wrapped in Bridgestone RE050 Pole Positions.. Clean simple interior.
22 mpg average. Regular maintenence needed approximately every 3k-5k miles.
May not be the looker, but it can keep up with just about any car on the street with a decent driver.Nov 14, 2009

Performance:- Acceleration=3 out of 5
Braking = 5 out of 5
Handling = 5 out of 5
Build Quality:- 4.5 out of 5
Appearence:- Interior: the car's interiors are a class apart only bettered by E & S Class
Exterior: Little old now but still who cares
Running Costs:- that's a bit expensive costs about Rs.20,000 a year for service alone

The performance of this car is excellent for the price. The acceleration is great, the handling awesome, but brakes weak. The build quality is awesome like all Mercedes. The interior is nice, but the outside has a look you have to learn to love. Horrible on gas for a 4 cylinder, but easy on maintenance (never had a problem). rear suspension squeaks/rattles after 7 years of mild ownership, Paint still shines but some rust bottom of doors and wheel arches starting to show.
Superb braking, handling, great looks
Throttle delay in acceleration for a fraction of a second is annoying. Fun to drive anyways

Gas mileage is about 23mpg combined. Lots of fun to drive. Expensive to maintain. Requires Premium gas. RWD is great. Great automatic although i would love to own a manual. Has some typical problems like weak sunroof motor. Has to many sensors for its own good.Apr 11, 2009

The 220 cdi is economical and torquey. Excellent motorway cruiser. Quick, comfortable and i love the way it looks. Solid interior and lots to play with. Handling is fairly good and fuel economy is rarely below 50 mpg. Has a quite alot of space and a big boot. Ive been happy with it!Aug 31, 2008

Reliable and solid. Needs a few more horses but the torque is great for a four cylinder. Gas mileage is on the poor range (20 to 25 avg daily driving for me) Upgrade the wheels and tyres as soon as you can. The handling is 10 times better than with the stock set.Apr 06, 2008

All the bells and whistles. Has a good sound' handling is decent, not brilliant. The car is stable, but not in high speed corners.
It makes you work, and if you get it right, you feel as if you did it, and not the car, A rewarding experience to master a drive in this beast.Jan 08, 2008

fuel filter
i just had a service on my 2002 Mercedes 200c kompressor coupe had the fuel filter changed and now it makes this loud whistling type sound that was not there before the mechanic told me to drive it for a week to see if it gets any better but its still there and quite loud , when driving it at around 70km it seems to go but if i break to stop it comes back or if i slow down for traffic light it comes back , could it be the fuel pump . just seems strange it never made this noise beforeany help would be appreciated

Driving with a Bad o2(Oxygen) Sensor... i got a 2002 Mercedes c230 supercharged 2.3
I just purchased this 2002 Mercedes for a good price the guy said it drives smooth and good but the check engine light is on because of the o2 sensor.. i am just wondering if it does any damage still driving while needing to replace the o2 sensor and if anyone knows do they know the cost it would be i found out the part is around $150.
