2002 Honda S2000 Reviews, Pricing & Specs

Overall it was a great car for the money and would just barely beat 350z's and Porsche boxter's which was a lot of fun since it was a four cylinder. What really opened up the car was the T1R headers and the Invidia cat back exhaust which made it sound great and it's a must to get some wheels because the stock sixteen inch wheels are a joke. I loved the car but at the same time I hated it because a spark plug blew out of the head and blew the engine, it was a problem with AP1 S2000's and since it was from the united states the warranty was void and I found a used low kilometer JDM engine and six thousand dollars later my problem was solved. Now I have a 2004 Corvette Z06 and this car is way better.Feb 18, 2010

Performance: Quick, lightweight, well handling roadster Build Quality: No problems yet but its a Honda and I don't expect much Appearance: I think its sexy! Gas mileage: not so great for a four banger but I'm not complaining considering how fun the car is. FUN,FUN,FUN This car is a real blast to drive and is easy to live with. My only negative is rear tire wear, but hey, that may be partially my fault as I tend to drive it rather hard at times. As for performance, it's fun to take people for a ride and then tell them that the car has an engine the size of an econo-box car that's half as powerful. For the money, I think that this car is the best bang for the buck and in these days of uncertain future gas prices the added benefit of mid-twenty MPG is an added bonus. Too bad Honda decided to quit making these little gems.Sep 12, 2009

This car is amazing. Corners like a slot car. For what it is it gets up and goes. It might only run a 13.9-14.0 but it traps as fast as any Evo/STi and its an n/a 2 liter Honda. Makes a glorious battle cry as whoever is next to you shifts at 6-7 whilst you rev it out to 9 grand. The build quality is as can be expected from Honda. The car has some pretty amazing lines to it, the front fenders tower over the wheels and have an extremely low and wide stance. This car still retains the economy of a Honda achieving almost 28mpg on the highway. All in all, you can buy one used for under 12k in good condition with relatively low miles. It will out perform many cars twice as expensive completely out of the box and it has the same cost of ownership as a civic. Definately a car one should at the very least drive, if not own, at some point in their life if they are a true racing enthusiast.Jul 24, 2009

The most significant sports car/roadster for it's price class. I've actually autocross the car. So, I know some of its capabilities. It's the best handling car I've driven so far. It's an uncompromising sports car. However, it's still relatively cheap to own unlike may other sports cars. The build quality is good and it's been reliable (a typical Honda trait).
