I can say that I have owned Isuzu Troopers for 24 years (this is my second) and both vehicles have been awesome. We always buy new and have them serviced at the dealer. A great vehicle for the family and very reliable!Jan 26, 2014

This car has served me well in the past and I will be sad to see it go. Great for packing and traveling on a regular basis. I like that when I ride in this car I sit high and feel like I can see the road very well. Apr 21, 2013

While the Trooper is known for its oil problems, it
makes up for it on its power. The V6 is a powerful
one, and the 4-wheel drive is an added bonus for
those of you who like to have fun when driving on

It just gets me to where i need to go no more no less. the valve guides are bad and it burns oil. so im constantly having to put fresh oil in. its a 24 valve 6 cylinder so its got some pretty good acceleration.Nov 05, 2009

The Trooper. . . The best brick I ever drove. It was'nt too pretty, it wasn't particularly powerful, but it was a tank that got the job done. 4WD was great, offroad was no problem. Three cars hit me without my Trooper taking any noticeable damage. The thing that finally did it in was a Suburban, a worthy death for any car. I had over 120,000 miles and never had an issue. My only complaints are in the gas mileage department and in the complete and utter lack of aerodynamics. Any cross wind sends you into the next lane and 16mpg is a good day.Apr 09, 2009
