Vehicle has great visibility, good dependability, and is the go to vehicle everyone wants to drive. Uses a little oil with higher mileage, but always very dependable. Plenty of power, and able to tow a small trailer. Very easy to drive.Nov 04, 2014

Good solid SUV. We own so we can pull a boat without owning a huge V8 monster. Pulls the boat fine. Good 4 wheel drive system. Good power and torque. Decent mileage considering this is a truck based product. Interior build is good, could be better but better than most. Huge sunroof is a plus. Engine is quiet. Doors close easily and quietly. I know this seems minor but we had a truck once that had doors that were a pain in the butt to close and it was a major hassle.

Burns oil inherently so you gotta be careful to not let it run dry. Mine burns about a quart every 1k miles. Other than that, it's a pretty good car. Apr 08, 2008

should I replace oil trans filter on my Isuzu trooper 1999 and refill with Dextron III, I saw oil leak around trans oil pan?
6VE35L engine ODO meter 145K, auto transmission . this SUV was park for 12 month. start run passed DEQ in OR, found shift D gear with noise, lower gear 2&3 and revers very strong and smooth drive. Is this symptom of low trans oil cause slip? picture of leak on drain plug and oil pan.

I have a 1999 isuzu trooper that occasionally upon starting out from a stop in 1st gear the tranny slips and grabs instantly and squeeks the tires and takes off. If I start off very gently it doesn't seem to happen. Solution?
1st gear slips when starting off and grabs when I start but not all the time and not if I accelerate very gently. Ideas of the cause?
