c70 roof problems
the roof on my c70t has opened a little and stopped working the little light on the switch does not come on .checked fuse .but dont know what else to check.please help.matt

Black with cream & biege leather, Lots of scuttle shake (wobbly) over bumps, but very quick & comfortable (T5 GT Auto) however, it has been off the road too much with the sellers (head gasket/cambelt) and now me with a new steering rack (ouch!) Thirsty at an average (dependant on driving) 25.7/26.6/28.4mpg or 36mpg on a cruise. Love the look of it (actual pic) and so love the performance! Not the best example though, dodgy black paint jobs here & there!Aug 22, 2010

Love the feeling of luxury on board, strongly build never got a problem with it, the power is very good and handling is amazing too. of course the special paint and boot spoiler give it touch like no other ones.
So great car to drive, a real cruiser where long trip are just a pleasure with plenty power under the pedal.
Only regret it's not a 4 wheel driving and need so to control at start the power transmit to the wheel to avoid the spinning, it can spin up to 60mph (impressif sometimes)Aug 09, 2008

This car was a love/hate object. The insurance is ridiculously high, fuel consumtion... lol lasts about 3 week tops just getting me to work and it's a real pain to park! It has a turning radius of a 18 wheeler truck!
However driving on a highway and gently pressing down the throttle... turbolag... and then to a high whisteling noise of the turbo kicking in and all 250hp are released and you feel how your butt and back sinks into the seat... and away you go very quickly... wonderful feeling.
And let me tell you this car is quiet inside the coupé! Even at very high speeds you don't need to max the stereo to hear the music and there is very little noise at all. The comfort is supperb. Best carseats there is, beaten only by newer Volvo and Saab carseats.
The handling is more like a truck though and the stiffened suspenssion is very bouncy. This is car is not for turning at all but it is topclass for driving longer distances on highways. For me, living in a city with citytraffic twice a day getting to and from work this car is was a pain. And parking this car without any park assistance and absolutely no backwiew at all and that turn radius in a small city parkslot... major annoyance!
Looks are great, especially since I love proper coupés even more than I love convertibles. Only downside is that the front look is exactly the same as the boring S70 (even thoug they are both basically the same car they could have redesigned the front to differ them apart as much as the price differs).
Good buildquality overall but to much cheap materials stowed away here and there.May 14, 2008

My Volvo would not start after sitting in garage for a couple months without being run. I thought the battery was dead and called AAA. While waiting for them, my husband left the key in the ignition but did not turn it and did not step on gas pedal. He left the garage to do some other chores and when he returned, the car was running. He took it out for a drive with no problems. When we tried to start the car the next day, there was no sound again.

All four drains for my 2000 c70 convertible are clogged.
I can see them the drains in the convertible "trunk" but don't know where to access them to clean out. Does anyone know the best way to service these drains?
