The only complaint I had other than the transmission was that if I wanted to change the CD I had to stop the vehicle, get out and then get in the trunk to do so. I liked almost everything about the car. It ran well and worked as it should for the most part. It was a plus that it had a 24V DOHC Engine in it because this car actually had pretty good speed for the type of car that it was. It felt like luxury to me.May 05, 2013

it handles great, has small exhaust leak but performance overall is great! Very clean interior some rust on outside but that's to be expected from Michigan cancer! No leaks, everything works, has great heat, tires are fairly new and looks great!!Oct 23, 2012

Pretty much a very average car. Fine I guess for a first car. Functional but not
overly fun. I have a lead foot so fuel economy could be better than what I got

My first car. I kinda knew it wouldn't go fast so I put in an amazing stereo system. It has 16 speaker and 3 amps. Everything is custom. I made everything. I did all the lights. I had a remote start system installed. It just turned over to 60,000 miles. Its pretty loaded with sun roof and leather and stuff. I love it.Nov 16, 2009

Sable is a sleeper, it looks like a family sedan but the V6 24V rips through the streets. Its an all around amazing car. Fast, luxury, comfort, roomy, and has many options. Ford made a very good car with this one.Jun 24, 2009

performance is excellent for this type of car-she aint a mustang but shes still fun to drive. accelerates pretty good, stops well even in snow, handles well too.never needed major repairs (except when my brother wrecked her), looks sharp (exterior), the interior is functional but could be better. good mileage, hardly any maintenance cost. and yes, she is fun to drive for a 4doorJan 07, 2009

well i love evreything about my sable its fast an blows away thos stupid tuners. the olny thing that relly sucks about ti tho is ther is no CD player in it tho. good handling , awsome braking power and goes 0-60 in 5.3 seconds. got a 24v dreatec v6 with 200hp and 200fpt

my mercury sable has the 24 valve DOHC duratec 6 cylinder engine with about 205 horsepower. It can hold its own on the interstate and has that extra bit of power when needed. the design of the seats cradles you to where you don't even feel the seat under you. I have never had a serious problem with the car. the engine performs great but the brakes could be better. Apr 10, 2008

I really enjoy driving this car, although it does need to see the doctor for some minor issues. It drives really great, and has lots of room for my friends, most often my siblings though, in the back.

1999 mercury sable. Need exact p/n to order fuel tank and fuel filler neck from Rock Auto. If I order my own parts, mechanic will repair for 400 dollars. If mechanic orders parts price goes up by 588 dollars. Trying to get job done for lowest price. Then need ny state inspection.
