5.7 liter locked up after changing fuel pressure regulator
I just changed the fuel pressure regulator in my 99 Chevy 5.7liter and the motor clunker and locked up. It can find before this what would cause this to happen and how do I fix it?

Despite the 10 mpg, it is a great truck. I've hauled 25,000 lbs (gross, truck & trailer) 4,000 miles and the 4L80E is incredibly durable. My truck has 320,000 miles on the original powertrain. (454 gas w/ 4L80E 4 speed auto). It still runs & idles smoothly and quietly. The interior is still in nice shape and i find the power leather seats to be more comfortable than the new trucks.

8" lift 36" Super Swampers, Shackle Reversal Kit, Air Bags. Heads flowed, ported, polished, roller cam and lifters. True 3" dual exhaust with flowmasters. Dana 70 Rear end. Torsion bars are keyed, Wheels great. Bad ass truck!

it has good solid construction a few modifications and the dually lets it hook up really well. the worst part is the gas mileage but lets be reasonable it is a work truck and gets the job done with the least amount of diesel fuel necessary. so don't complain if you are a city pretty who bought a 1 ton and doesn't need it for hauling each and every day.Jun 23, 2009

I took my truck to the self car wash and next day I get in and tried to start it but it just clicked a few times then nothing. I have installed a new battery and have 11.80 volts at the starter, cleaned and tightened the cables. Replaced the starter/ solenoid and ignition switch. I’m out of ideas…

Crank but won't start
I have a 10/99 Chevy 3500 with a 7.4 motor 454 I have replaced the fuel pump the cap, the rotor the plugs the wires ignition modular coil and everything else that has to do with the ignition and a tune- up it ran fine for weeks and now I'm having an issue it will crank and will not start
