it has good solid construction a few modifications and the dually lets it hook up really well. the worst part is the gas mileage but lets be reasonable it is a work truck and gets the job done with the least amount of diesel fuel necessary. so don't complain if you are a city pretty who bought a 1 ton and doesn't need it for hauling each and every day.

Despite the 10 mpg, it is a great truck. I've hauled 25,000 lbs (gross, truck & trailer) 4,000 miles and the 4L80E is incredibly durable. My truck has 320,000 miles on the original powertrain. (454 gas w/ 4L80E 4 speed auto). It still runs & idles smoothly and quietly. The interior is still in nice shape and i find the power leather seats to be more comfortable than the new trucks.

For its mileage and condition it is a good value

Very good vehicle but the older the c/k gets the Frame will rot out around steering gear box.

8" lift 36" Super Swampers, Shackle Reversal Kit, Air Bags. Heads flowed, ported, polished, roller cam and lifters. True 3" dual exhaust with flowmasters. Dana 70 Rear end. Torsion bars are keyed, Wheels great. Bad ass truck! 8 miles to a gallon.
