no power to coil at all
im not getting power to the coil AT ALL I unplugged the wire running to the coil and theres no power whats so ever what would this be?

I love everything about this car. I've had it since it 1997 with only 4,000 miles on it, now it has 50,000. It's only needed minimal, expected maintenance besides replacing a leaky clutch master cylinder. It's heavily modified with a larger turbo, down pipe, intercooler pipes, intake and too many other things to list. It's been a great car for me!Jan 28, 2012

for a heavy sport car this older turbo talon is one of the ancestors to newer and power leading vehicles today. tho the fasted modified 4 cylender in the word is the motor from this car. it was tuned and thrown into production with great promise. the modle didn't last but the poopularity still roams, and this car has proven to be of great potential. This car handles great, it needs some repairs, some spots on the body need touching up. The mileage is nice and low. Definitely a fun car to drive. Didn't cost me as much as i thought it would. Great car.Mar 23, 2011

I loved the the acceleration, when i put my foot it used to just shoot off and that was it, it was gone. i built it up nicely as you can see from my pictures. this car was a very fun car to drive in, i would recomend it to you.Aug 11, 2010

The turbo made it hard to do any engine work, but overall a GREAT car! Lots of style. Very fast off the line. Turned lots of heads. Cherry red with a black top. Beautiful car! The maintenance costs were a little bit high. Would recommend the car to a friend. Sep 09, 2008

Way better than the Saturn. A few more problems with this one than the Saturn. Much faster and a lot of fun to drive. Needs some repairs from it being hit and broken into. But I love this car! I would only recommend this car to someone if you like working on cars or know a little something about them, as it does require a little bit more extra maintenance and attention as compared to other cars. I purchased this car in January 2008 with just over 110,000 miles on it. Has a rebuilt engine, 3in. exhaust, turbo timer, boost and A/F gauge, and a K&N Intake.Jul 16, 2008

1996 Eagle Talon TSI, factory automatic was converted to a 5spd. Many bolt on parts, if you dont know whats done to it, you either haven't helped me work on it, or you dont need to know.Feb 21, 2008

I've owned this beast for over 2 years. If I could go back to the day I bought it. I would have slaped my self in the face for doing so. However since I cannot travel back in time, I am stuck with it. I would not recommend this car to you, if you are not mechanically inclined. Then again, I would not own anything else. 96 TSI AWD; Gear Shifter/Stick
Gear shifter/stick has become extremely loose, and it's even become difficult to put it into any gear other than 1st. I can't even "find" 3rd or any higher gear, and putting it into reverse takes anywhere from 30 seconds to 3 minutes. I'm not entirely sure what the problem is, though it feels like a "plate" or something beneath the housing of the exterior stick is loose or broken. Anybody had this problem before, or understand what it is?

My son has a 96 eagle talon that will run for a few days and then not for a day or two.
We have replaced the coil pack and cam sensor and it sounds like it isnt getting fuel because we can spray starting fluid in the throttle body and this works sometimes. Could it be computer related, maybe shutting the fuel injectors down?? He has a capacitor hooked up with subs and an amp too. HELP!!!

#2 cylinder misfire ? checked \ cleaned or replaced plugs , wires , pcv , injectors and still have the same code . only 10" of manifold vacuum but could not find any leaks ,145 psi cyl. compression...any ideals ??
