after owning three talons i think i will always own one now as they are a great car to drive they are also very easy to work on. they are a thrill to drive and you have to love when the turbo kicks inJan 25, 2011

This black eagle talon was my introduction to the forced induction world. It was a great car and with minimal modifications turned a 14.1@94mph in the 1/4 mile. At that time it had a test-pipe, boost controller, and a fuel pump. Oct 24, 2010

It's the fastest car I've owned, even just standing there! It corners flatly and predictably, and can throw the rear around if you want. I haven't used the brakes enough to know them ;) The old paint needs to be done again, but everything is nice and tight in the body (that's what she said). I love the way it looks! Gas mileage? I probably get 16 to 20, but I drive it hard. Maintenance is fairly cheap, but I hear they break alot. Well, mine isn't all the way fixed yet, soo I can't vouch for that. Performance - acceleration slow, braking great, handling awesome
Build Quality - has it needed repairs? has 215,000 miles on it and 1 timebelt and 2 clutches and a water pump
Appearance - i love the way it looks
Cost of Ownership - awesome MPGs i got 40 on the interstate

Handles like it's on rails and runs 14's in the quarter mile from the factory. 20+mpg, and parts are cheap to replace. The car is very fun to drive, but not a good daily driver. It's a great car to start working on because it's very simple.Oct 07, 2009

Performance was amazing when it ran. Turbo was a blast. You feel like you're sitting on the ground practically. It's my favorite car that I've ever owned only it sometimes didn't start. Never would have passed emissions testing. When this car was good, it was very very good. When it was bad, it sat in my driveway.Jul 28, 2008

Needs a new engine; how hard would it be to replace?
My '93 Eagle Talon ES (2.0 L 4cylinder non turbo engine FWD- manual) broke down on the side of the road and the repair shop told me I needed a whole new engine and they wanted I charge me $2800 for the new engine and $1500 for labor. I know I could get an engine for half that price elsewhere and I found a place that rents out engine hoists cheap so I was hoping I could maybe have my dad do it himself. But my dad says he can't because heard a rumor that replacing the engine is supposedly not something we could do ourselves because it has to be dropped out the bottom of the car?? I've tried to look it up but all I can find related to the Turbo AWD engine.

Oil pressure low after oil change dont know why?
1993 eagle talon car hadnt been run for two years. When i bought it it burned oil bad changed the oil then ran it and the oil pressure was low any ideas?
