This generation of Ford SHO interests me. I like how its equipped. The Yamaha engine makes it stand apart. It may well be more costly though than its worth some 25 years later? DIY a big plus. Feb 18, 2021

What a good idea it was to put a Yamaha SHO motor in a Taurus. It really woke up the car to what it should be. Different headlights, bumpers, side skirts, the regular Taurus really looks bad. Yes cost of ownership is a bit high, and motor parts are expensive and sometimes rare to find, but it is a blast to drive, especially when the secondaries kick in!Nov 03, 2010

Well mine has a manual transmission, pretty fast with a 6.6 0-60. has 4 wheel disk brakes. thas digital climate control, all leather interior. The YAMAHA engines are the best. bullet proof. gets about 24 MPG Highway. about 20 in the city. they do break down on occasion, and parts are a bit pricy. I love the look of the gen. 2. Mar 13, 2010
