I like the fact it gets great gas mileage and its comfortable ride is nice. Its quick off
the line and handles the corners quite well. The rust is a small issue, mostly under
the doors. The rear quarters are not an issue. Maintenance is very small and
cheap. The safety is low cause mine didn't come with any airbags and the interior
noise is louder now that I have a performance muffler but its reasonable.Jan 29, 2011

Consider this ugly little gem. Ultimate sleeper status with minimal modifications. SR20 Reliability. Aftermarket galore. Cheap to get, cheap to get parts for, cheap to maintain, cheap on GAS! Plenty of torque all through the powerband in every gear- very light. Be careful on the test drive not to blow the last remaining motor mount with your 4000rpm neck snapping clutch drop.Oct 20, 2010

its a great car i have no complaints i have not experienced any 5th gear pop out like i hear of happening alot with b13s brakes fade a little if your on them aggressivly but not too much strong motor is for sure the fastest car iv driven i love my b13!Jul 28, 2010

lightweight and sturdy.. runs good considering how little maintenance has been done on it. performance is as you'd expect for a 4-banger; the 5-speed is a lot of fun. solid in corners too, would be better if i had new tires. can't fault this little car, Nissan is legendary for a reason.Dec 27, 2009

The best FF I've ever owned and had fun driving. It was truly the unsung king of street tuning in the early to mid 90's. It came second to none in terms of value and price. The engine, SR20de, has been deemed bullet proof. Plus not everyone drives one, so it's as unique as those drawn to it. Sep 04, 2009

The Nissan sentra SE-R that was made between 91-94 is quite
possible one of the best front wheel drive cars ever made.
Even though it was built over 18 years ago, it still out

SR20VE swapped, soft shock ride, hydralic brake system. alway make me smile, about 13.5 to 14.3 seconds on a drag strip. new paint. impressive acceleration and low profile. save lot of gas. alway exciting to drive it in all of my time.Jun 01, 2009

The car was a ton of fun stock. It has surprisingly
good acceleration for a 2.0L L4 engine, 7500 RPM
redline, and close gear ratios on the manual
transmission. It also has a low curb weight of 2450
pounds. The handling is good, it will lift throttle
oversteer with some effort, and it makes a great
autocross car. When it comes to appearance, its
subjective. I think the car looks great, but I might
appreciate the boxy look of early 90's sedans more
than others. The clearcoat on red Sentras tends to
flake with age. There are a few squeaks and rattles
from age, but nothing horrible. Gas mileage is
about 25-30 highway and 20-25 city, depending
on the condition of the car and what speed you're
cruising at. At more than 70mph the short gearing
will lower the MPG, and you'll be cruising at close
to 4000 rpm at 80mph. Its a fun car, and responds
well to turbo mods since engine is designed to hold
boost. Mine is at 210 whp 230 wtq and its a blast to

this is my broke down car that still gets 30+ mpg but it isn't that nice on the eyes!!! she does the job lol has 218,000= miles and still going, need to do a little work here and there to her but not to major yet crossing fingers. still a great car Sep 12, 2008

the car is nice its reliable gets me everywhere... it likes to act up every once in a
while, i have invested lots of money in the braking system as well as the fuel
and ignition system. I am looking forward to selling this car pretty soon

Nissan's '92-'94 Sentra SE-R with its 140hp SR20DE engine, fully independent suspension, and light weight made for a wonderfully tossable, quick little car with incredible turn-in for a front-driver. Under certain circumstances, they could even be made to spin like a rear-drive car. A skilled instructor at a BMW performance driving school tested mine and said it drove like a 3-series. It makes sense then that Nissan advertised the SE-R as an updated BMW 2002. I often wish I still had this little gem.Jan 09, 2008

couple weeks after i purchased car it started losing power and idleing rough.replaced a sensor and that fixed the problem.now windows will not defrost 100 per cent.tried to replace thermostat but didn't see one under housing connected to engine block.bought 2 thermostats from 2 parts stores and both were too big.employee from 2nd parts store said thermostat could be where bottom radiator hose connects to radiator.also have rear passenger side wheel bearing making noise.car only has 110,000 miles on it. I have a rough idling issue in a GA16DE from 93.
I have an issue where the engine decided to run on only 3 1/2 cylinders. I just replaced my spark plugs and made no improvement. A friend told me that he thinks I'm in the process of losing all the compression out of the cylinder. Its 1# cylinder, next to the timing chain. If I remove the injector wire, it runs rougher. If I remove the spark plug wire from 1# cylinder while engine is running, theres no surge in power loss, acts if nothing happened. The wires are perfectly fine. I just fixed a leaking fuel line but never got around to replacing the fuel filter.....would this be the cause of the rough idle? If this was the issue, wouldn't all the cylinders be affected. I do need to change my oil soon but I know this isn't the issue. Gasket failure? I need help...This is my only car for the next few months and need to fix it.
