Looove my Jeep. But it is horrible on Gas with the upgrades and the brakes suck
too. Other than that I love it and hope to own more. If you like to get off road

I love the fact that I can completely strip all the carpet off the Jeep in case I were
to take it off-road. I absolutely hate the tires on this Jeep. They are way too small.
When I get the money, I'm going to add a 3 inch frame lift. Then I think im going to
get 30 all terrain tires. The gas mileage is absolutely horrid, I get about 14 in the

This car is a blast to go off-roading in. The acceleration sucks. Gas mileage is between 16-18 miles per gallon. handles great in mud or clay, aslo great anywhere kinda car. The only maintenace that you will need to do is anything you break on it has to be repairedJul 09, 2010

Best jeep in the world, 1992 was a good year for jeep wranglers, 4WD is always awesome, has ran great for over 15 years, only problems it usually has is mufflers, but is easily fixed. Lets Go Mudding Now! Yeehaw!Nov 09, 2009

What can i say? It's a Jeep! it pretty much speaks for its self. it's definitely not the fastest vehicle, but it wasn't designed to be. its a very solid 4wd vehicle. it is very customizable. i have made my own center console out of an old army ammo can and i'm not through yet.Sep 16, 2009

It's a fun little driver if you want to just drive it off road or around school. Makes some noise. Makes A LOT of noise on the highway. Not very aerodynamic. VERY FUN CAR FOR THE SUMMER WITH THE TOP OFF! :)Sep 01, 2009

2.5L Inline 4 cyl, didn't produce much hp but tourqe was excellent. Came factory with 4.10 gears, never got stuck once. 3" Rancho lift and Mickey Thompson Baja Claws. Rebuilt transmission myself in summer of 2006. Fun car all around.May 20, 2009

-Performance: Accelerates good, once I get the hang of driving a standard. Braking is good seeing as how it only has 2 working brakes. It needs new rear brake lines. It's a bumpy ride, but you'll get that with a truck like this, but it still handles pretty well I think.
-Build Quality: It does need repairs; I bought it to repair it.
-Appearance: The interior is practically flawless except for a few minor things (rips in the seats). Exterior is a little beat up; it was made for rock crawling, and that's exactly what it did. There's some rust, but I can deal with that.
Cost of Ownership: Can't really comment on this.. I don't know its gas mileage yet, especially with its modifications. Jeep parts are relatively inexpensive except for major parts.
Fun Factor: Extremely fun so far, although I can't drive it yet. It's still fun to look at though.
I would recommend my Jeep to a friend, but they can't have mine. They have to get their own.Feb 21, 2009

It is a jeep with a inline 6 cylinder, 5 speed, with 4 wheel drive so it is not a perfomance vehicle it is a cruiser. This jeep is built good. I am having to replace my Spider gears and the third member that got damaged in the rear end.When I bought it the guy told me it has all new interior he redone the upholstery,new seats, and console.The jeep gets about 20 mpg. U just have to make sure u clean the top once in a while clean everything make sure yo change ur oil when needed to. Having the top down is fun to do when cruising around town.Sep 25, 2008

Security would have to be the only issue I would have with my Jeep. The build quality is superior to many being that I have only had to patch a few holes in the body after 16 years and 197k miles. The gas mileage is great. I have gone 233 miles on one tank of gas. This is a real fun car and shines beautifully when washed and waxed. Aug 11, 2008

I loved my wrangler and I miss it dearly. She treated me so well, like a king. I would absolutely recommend this vehicle to anyone. Im getting a little teary eyed just thinking about her, she was the best. the only part that is somewhat of a down side is the milage. Jul 28, 2008

This 1992 jeep will never get stuck, its got a powerhouse of an engine, 4x4 of course, minimalistic everything, absoloutely rust free, which for us jeep guys is rare to come by, only has 98k miles and is built like a rock, nothins gunna stop itMar 20, 2008

It's fun to drive. Cheap to fix... I mean really cheap. I had to replace about half of the whole clutch system and it only cost around 300 dollars if i remember right. Total repair costs after 11 years probably arent above $1000. It'll out-mud a Blazer or Explorer lifted 3 times higher than it. It'll still run when it's broken 3 different ways (I know this from experience). I get compliments from people nearly everywhere I go. The YJ model Wrangler is destined to be a classic motor vehicle of our time.Feb 28, 2008

I bought this car after my Honda Civic. It had quite a few modifications already and I learned to enjoy all of them. I quickly became a 4x4 fanatic - hitting the trails every weekend. It broke down alot, but it was mostly due to my abuse. The engine was strong, but without alot of torque.Oct 01, 2007

I have a Jeep Wrangler' 1992 and would like to swap the engine with Jeep Wrangler Sahara Auto '1995. What I would like to know, if I would be having problems with the engine electrical harness and what does it need to fit the new engine as to have all dash board operating. Is there a module I can follow?

Dying when coming to stop, and won’t hold idle at start up either
My Jeep won’t stop dieing at idle, have tried to adjust the carb , etc, not sure what’s going on with it. Have to keep my foot on the accelerator at intersections. Doesn’t die off when on the free way for instance. But won’t hold idle when starting and won’t hold idle coming to a stop
