The 1981 Ford Mustang retained the same look as its fellow third generation Mustangs, but featured fewer engine choices. The 2.8-liter V6 was no longer an option. However, the 3.3-liter V6 was now rated at 91 horsepower.
Some of the aftermarket additions included installing a replica T-top from the late 70's.

It was a fun car to drive. It was the first car I drove that was stick.Had it up to 150 kms an hour and it was a straight 6 with a 4 speed manual transmission. It kicked ass! Cool.Feb 17, 2010

Handling is terrible but what do you expect from an old ass mustang. Acceleration aint bad for a straight six motor. Brakes work like a charm after you replace the entire set-up. Alot more power if you swap from the stock single barrel to the holley two barrel.Apr 14, 2008

What can I say except that I beat the crap out of this car and it wouldn't die. Of course the
radio never worked well, AC didn't work, passenger door hinge was bent, got gassed by the
exhaust when an exhaust gasket got ripped out while sliding off the road. Absolutely no
power. Had an awful fox body on it. But it has sentimental value.Mar 18, 2008

This was my second Mustang, and it was the only one worth taking a picture of. I enjoyed driving it around, but the weak 255 ci V8 mated with the 3 speed auto was not exactly fast! It looked the part though. It cost me too much to own while attending high school.Jan 13, 2008

First car , parents gone for the summer, by the end it would burn all the oil from the oil pan faster than i could put it in, it went for 1 month, without any oil !! was good in feilds out by E.L Smith water treatment plant, worked great until the transmission blew upDec 27, 2007
