Engine temperature

We are trying to sell our 1976 VW convertible. A potential buyer said if you grab the oil stick and you cannot hold it (right after test driving) the engine is too hot and he is afraid the engine is going bad. The temp was 167 degrees.

What is the fuel tank capacity for my 1976 Volkswagen Convertible Super Vehicle.

Lost bill of sale

I lost my bill of sale on my older Volkswagen bug. I have had it for about ten years and finally got it to the point of registering but it's not in my name and don't remember the man's name who sold it to me every time I try and get info with the vin it says the numbers to short and or that it has no history ect. What can I do to file a lost title without it costing more than the bugs worth.

My 1976 super beetle smells of gas when tank is over 1/2 full. Where can I get a schematic of the vent line in the trunk.

Would like to check to make sure that the vent hoses are properly placed.
