Why will my 78 super beetle starts when cold but won't start when hot? I just had the fuel pump replaced. I can start it up and drive it for 30 minutes. then when I turn it off it will not start. I have to wait an hour. Then it starts right up. It didn't do that before I replaced the fuel pump.

I have a non-running, rusted frame 78 Volkswagen convertible Super Beetle, last time on the road 2010 that I want to sell but don't know where to start pricing. The replacement convertible top has one hole in it and the running boards frames rusted out. Can you help me with what you think I should ask for it. Need to have it sold quickly.
I'm trying to buy this '78 Super Beetle Convertible from a family who bought it new in '79. They aren't enthusiasts, so they naturally think it's worth more than it is. It looks appealing to the eye, but a closer look shows that just about every part of the car needs some kind of attention. Pans and rails are gone, and the rear fenders have rust, but engine runs nice. Odometer stopped 10 years ago at 46k, but hasn't been driven much at all in that time. Interior is fair. Top is torn. Various dings and dents. How much should I pay? Thanks.
