I have a 74 super beetle conv. It has a ac pump on the motor, it has factory looking slots in the sheetmetal below the front bumper to cool the ac radiator behind and it has a very factory looking knob just below the radio to control the ac. Everyone tells me they never had factory ac. Could you let me know. Carl
I have a 1974 Super Beetle with a 1600 cc. It started fine all winter. Earlier in the spring I tried to get it started. I had to hook it up to a charger/booster. Now I tried to start it and it just clicks at the voltage regulator,nothing more. I had the starter bench tested and the battery stress tested, they both test fine. When I turn he ignition switch all I get is a click from the voltage regulator and nothing more. I've taken everything apart and cleaned it off i.e cables,wires, connections ,,, What could be the issue?
Hi all. I have recently bought a 1974 VW Super Beetle. I love the car, but have a couple of issues to sort out. Here is my most pressing issue : How do I pressurize the washer fluid tank when the pressure hose attached to the reservoir isn’t long enough to reach the horizontal spare tire ? Unlike the standard Beetle, the Super Beetle has the spare tire mounted flat on the floorpan. I thank you all in advance for any assistance you may offer. Many thanks, Darren.
