Meet the All-New Hyundai PALISADE Hybrid
Meet the All-New Hyundai PALISADE Hybrid
Delivering performance without compromise
The Hyundai PALISADE’s legacy is one of premium value, reliability, and comfort, with three rows and up to 8 seats of feature-packed versatility in a package with a starting MSRP well under $50,000[1]. For 2026, it’s all new and better than ever. Not only does the 2026 PALISADE get a complete overhaul, but it also debuts its first-ever hybrid model — delivering more power and greater efficiency without compromises. In this guide, we explore what makes the 2026 Hyundai PALISADE Hybrid such a capable three-row family SUV.
Technology where it matters
The all-new 2026 Hyundai PALISADE Hybrid is full of state-of-the-art technology designed to help keep you comfortable, safe, and connected. Among its standout features are available class-exclusive[2] innovations like Remote Smart Parking Assist[3], which can maneuver the vehicle into or out of parking spaces while you're not inside; a Blind-Spot View Monitor[4] that displays a live feed of your blind spot in your instrument cluster; and an Integrated Front and Rear Dash Cam[5] that can record while you’re driving or while you’re away from your vehicle.
But the most important new tech might just be the hybrid powertrain. It's available in both front- and optional all-wheel drive (AWD), and in AWD-equipped models comes paired with special driving modes for Mud, Snow, and Sand. There's also an available AWD lock button, which can split power evenly between the front and rear wheels and is especially useful at low speeds on super-slick surfaces.
Next-level electrified performance
The gas Hyundai PALISADE is no slouch, delivering up to 287 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. The PALISADE Hybrid, though, takes it to the next level: you get up to 329 combined horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque.
What's even more impressive about those figures is that the hybrid gets its muscle from a smaller 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, compared to the gas model's 3.5-liter V6. Thanks to its smart hybrid setup, you're getting more power from a smaller engine and electric motor. It's not just quick and powerful; it's capable, too. The PALISADE Hybrid can tow up to 4,000 pounds[6].
With instant torque, smooth acceleration, and better fuel economy than a traditional gas engine, the PALISADE Hybrid brings many of the benefits of electrification to Hyundai's practical three-row SUV.

Hybrid tech so advanced, you may not even notice it
Many hybrids use a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT), which is designed to maximize efficiency by keeping the engine in the RPM range where it produces the most torque with the least effort. But because the RPMs stay roughly the same as you accelerate, it can create a droning sound.
The PALISADE Hybrid sidesteps that problem entirely by using a more traditional six-speed automatic transmission, enabling a driving experience similar to a non-hybrid SUV. Hyundai built two electric motors into that transmission that add extra torque, so you get the benefits of hybrid power without giving up the driving experience you are used to.
As efficient as it is powerful
The hybrid motors significantly improve fuel economy. The PALISADE Hybrid Blue SEL FWD and Hybrid Blue SEL Premium FWD get an EPA-estimated 35 mpg on the highway[7]. With an EPA-estimated range of up to 619 miles[8], you can make it from New York to Florida with only one stop to fill up.
Comfort, even when parked
Sometimes, it’s the little things that matter in life, and that’s what Stay Mode is all about. It monitors the 1.65-kilowatt-hour hybrid battery and allows you to use the infotainment system, climate control, and other in-cabin features while parked provided the battery state of charge is at least 35%. You'd have to leave the engine running to do that in most other vehicles, even in many hybrids. Staying cool or toasty while sitting in the after-school pickup line on hot or cold days doesn't mean wasting fuel.
While parked, the available Relaxation Seats fully recline and kick up an upper leg support, and they pair nicely with Stay Mode for an experience so relaxing you’ll want to nap. Advanced Rear Occupant Alert[9] uses ultrasonic sensors specifically calibrated to detect small children to help ensure no one gets left behind. Safe Exit Assist[10] uses external sensors to help detect vehicles approaching from behind, and can momentarily prevent anyone in the rear seat from opening the door into traffic.
Rear Seat Quiet Mode lets front passengers enjoy music or podcasts without disturbing those asleep in the second and third rows by muting their speakers (even if you don’t opt for the available 14-speaker Bose® audio system[11]). And of course, heated seats are available, not just in the first or second row, but in all three rows on select trims.
SmartSense driver assistance
Hyundai's SmartSense brings a full suite of standard and available driver assistance features to the 2026 PALISADE. Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist[12] can detect cars, pedestrians, and cyclists, and even watch for oncoming traffic when you're turning left. It can apply the brakes if it detects an imminent collision, too.
Out on the highway, Lane Keeping Assist[13], Lane Following Assist[14], and Highway Driving Assist[15] can help provide a safe, seamless experience that can reduce the strain of driving during longer stretches. The systems are capable of following lane markings as well as the vehicle ahead and can help keep you centered in your lane while maintaining a safe distance from traffic. These features can help you stay comfortable while driving, but if you get a little too comfortable, the Driver Attention Warning[16] system can send you suggestions for taking a break.
Overall, the all-new 2026 PALISADE and the first-ever PALISADE Hybrid offer an unbeatable combination of power, efficiency, comfort, and value.

[3] Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA) can remotely help park the vehicle. However, several factors can impact RSPA performance. RSPA may not function correctly if one or more of the parking sensors is damaged, dirty or covered or if weather conditions (heavy rain, snow or fog) interfere with sensor operation. Always inspect the parking area with your own eyes. See Owner's Manual for further details and limitations.
[4] Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM) assists driver in changing lanes by providing a live view of the blind spots on either side of the vehicle and an audible alert if another vehicle is detected. Turn signal must be activated and other system limitations apply. Do not rely exclusively on BVM. It is the driver's responsibility to be aware of the surroundings and ensure it is clear before changing lanes or directions. See Owner's Manual for further details and limitations.
[5] The legality of recording, storing and using videos and/or audio recordings from the Dash Cam depends on the laws and regulations applicable in the jurisdiction where you operate the vehicle. The user is solely responsible for consulting and complying with all applicable laws and regulations. Hyundai does not have access to any recordings or data gathered via the Dash Cam. Several factors can impact Dash Cam performance and the Dash Cam may not record in all situations. The driver should not control the Dash Cam while driving. See your Owner’s Manual for additional details and limitations.
[6] Towing capacity varies by configuration. Maximum towing capacity requires trailer equipped with trailer brakes. See Owner’s Manual for proper use and additional information.

Estimated ranges for other trims vary. For comparison purposes only. Actual range and mileage will vary based on factors including vehicle options, driving conditions, driving habits and the vehicle’s condition.
[9] When the vehicle is parked and the engine has been turned off, the Advanced Rear Occupant Alert (AROA) can help to alert the driver if it detects movement from a child or pet. Upon exiting and locking the vehicle, AROA may provide visual, audible, and/or Bluelink alerts if the interior overhead sensor detects movement. AROA is not a substitute for driver attentiveness. Never leave a child or pet unattended in a vehicle. Bluelink notification requires a Bluelink-equipped vehicle with an active Bluelink account. See Owner's Manual for further details and limitations.
[10] When the vehicle is parked, Safe Exit Assist (SEA) can alert the driver when a vehicle is approaching from behind. When Child Locks are active, SEA prevents initial disabling of the child safety locks if a vehicle approaching from behind is detected. SEA does not work in all situations and is not a substitute for driver or passenger attentiveness. Always be aware of your surroundings and attentive of approaching vehicles. See Owner's Manual for further details and limitations.

[12] Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Junction Turning (FCA-JT) is intended to be a supplement to safe driving practices. The system is not designed to detect certain stationary objects such as trees or poles, and may not detect all vehicles, pedestrians, or cyclists under certain conditions. The system’s Junction Turning function operates when the vehicle’s left turn signal is activated, the vehicle is travelling between approximately 6-19 mph and the oncoming vehicle’s speed is between approximately 19-44 mph. The system is a driver assistance system and is not a substitute for safe driving. The driver is responsible for being attentive and maintaining control of the vehicle, and should not wait for the system's alerts before braking as there may not be sufficient time to brake safely. See Owner’s Manual for further details and limitations.
[13] Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) will not work under all circumstances. It operates above 40 mph and only when it is able to detect painted lane markings. It cannot function if the lane markings cannot be seen clearly. If the lines cannot be seen clearly due to poor road conditions, weather, or lighting conditions, it may not function. It also may not function on very rough roads, when walls, curbs or concrete barriers are close by, or if following another car too closely. Since it "sees" the lane markings using a camera in the upper windshield area, it is imperative this area be clear and free of blockage such as stickers, dirt, snow, tinting material, markings and labels. Lane Keeping Assist is not a substitute for safe driving practices, but is a supplemental assist only. The driver is responsible for always maintaining command and control of the vehicle and must keep hands on the wheel at all times. See Owner's Manual for further details and limitations.
[14] Lane Following Assist (LFA) helps keep the vehicle centered in its lane only when the lane markings are clearly visible on the road. Lane Following Assist will not work under all circumstances and will not prevent loss of control. Lane Following Assist is a supplemental assist, and does not replace the need for extreme care and attention by the driver. See Owner’s Manual for further details and limitations.
[15] Highway Driving Assist (HDA), is for highway use only and can help keep the vehicle centered in its lane while maintaining a safe distance from the vehicle ahead only when the lane markings are clearly visible on the road and should not be used in poor weather, heavy or varying traffic, or on winding or slippery roads. HDA will not work under all circumstances and will not prevent loss of control. Driver remains responsible to slow or stop the vehicle to avoid a collision. See Owner’s Manual for further details and limitations.
[16] Driver Attention Warning (DAW) is only a warning to inform the driver of a potential lack of driver attention or drowsiness. It does not detect and provide an alert in every situation. It is the driver's responsibility to remain alert at all times. See Owner’s Manual for further details and limitations.
