2025 Hyundai KONA Electric: Where Technology Meets Value

Raising the bar with user-friendly technology

Since its debut for the 2020 model year, the Hyundai PALISADE has earned a reputation as a feature-packed, premium SUV for the whole family. It's all new for 2026, and Hyundai is raising the bar even higher.

The 2026 PALISADE is available as a hybrid model for the first time, with 329 combined horsepower and up to an EPA-estimated 619 miles[1] of driving range on select trims. There's also a new XRT PRO trim, which adds off-road prowess.

Beyond the new powertrain and trim, the 2026 PALISADE offers a wealth of innovative features. No matter where you sit in a 7- or 8-seater PALISADE, there’s something to make your journey more enjoyable. From physical luxuries like available Relaxation Seat Mode to automated driving assist capabilities, here are 10 standout features, many of which you won't find in the competition:

1. Built-in Front and Rear Dash Cam

Standard on Calligraphy trim

The PALISADE's available Integrated Front and Rear Dash Cam[2] can automatically record in the event of an impact, and you can set how sensitive it is (from errant shopping carts to full-on accidents). It can record up to 20 hours of footage and logs info like date, time, GPS positioning, speed, whether or not you were using a turn signal, and what gear you were in. For less serious endeavors like road trips, there's even a time-lapse setting. Finally, a motion-detection mode can record anything that moves in front of the cameras when it's parked.

2. Remote Smart Parking Assist

Standard on Calligraphy trim

If you're trying to park in a space that's a little too tight, Remote Smart Parking Assist[3] allows you to get out of the vehicle and use your key fob to move the PALISADE forward or backward into spots. It's a class-exclusive[4] feature that takes the stress out of parking.

3. Blind-Spot View Monitor

Standard on SEL Premium and above

Another class-exclusive feature, Hyundai's Blind-Spot View Monitor[5], not only monitors what's in your blind spot, but it uses side-mounted cameras to show you. As soon as you activate the turn signal, a live video feed pops up in the 12.3-inch digital cluster. Pro tip: It's also excellent for checking how far away you are from the curb when parallel parking.

4. Advanced Rear Occupant Alert

Standard on SEL and above

Instead of just relying on whether each door was opened to determine if someone might still be in the backseat, Hyundai's Advanced Rear Occupant Alert[6] uses ultrasonic motion sensors. It's designed specifically to help detect children, and it will honk the horn for 30 seconds at a time to remind you to check the back seat if it senses movement there.

5. Rear Seat Quiet Mode

Standard on every PALISADE

It goes without saying that once the little ones are finally asleep, you absolutely do not want to wake them. You don't have to drive in silence, though. Rear Seat Quiet Mode mutes the rear speakers so second- and third-row passengers can stay asleep while you listen to whatever you want upfront.

6. Relaxation Mode

Standard on Calligraphy trim

Relaxation Mode is just the thing you need when taking a break from time on the road. At the touch of a button, the PALISADE's first and second rows fully recline, and the first row also features extending leg supports, making the seats feel more like chaise lounges. Whoever thought rest stops could be something to savor?

7. Hyundai Pay

Standard on every PALISADE

Hyundai Pay[7] enables you to use the PALISADE's touchscreen to find or pay for parking spots at over 6,000 locations across the country.

8. UV-C Sterilization Compartment

Standard on Calligraphy trim

Hidden away in the center console, the UV-C Sterilization Compartment[8] emits ultraviolet rays to help remove germs from phones, tablets, or whatever else might have picked up germs during the day. Just place the item in the antibacterial tray, turn it on, and 10 minutes later, it’s clean and ready to go.

9. Highway Driving Assist

Standard on every PALISADE

Highway Driving Assist[9] can reduce the strain of highway driving by helping maintain a set distance to the car in front of you and keeping you centered in your lane. It’s not a substitute for paying attention to the road, but it does take some strain off long drives.

10. Full-Display Digital Rearview Mirror

Standard on Calligraphy trim

Using a live feed from the standard rearview camera, the Full-Display Digital Rearview Mirror[10] shows you what's behind you in real time, even if boxes or balloons block your view.

[1] Estimated 619-mile driving range for 2026 PALISADE Hybrid Blue SEL FWD and Hybrid Blue SEL Premium FWD based on a full tank of gas (18.2 gallons) and EPA-estimated 34 Combined MPG. Estimated ranges for other trims vary. For comparison purposes only. Actual range and mileage will vary based on factors including vehicle options, driving conditions, driving habits and the vehicle’s condition.

[2] The legality of recording, storing and using videos and/or audio recordings from the Dash Cam depends on the laws and regulations applicable in the jurisdiction where you operate the vehicle. The user is solely responsible for consulting and complying with all applicable laws and regulations. Hyundai does not have access to any recordings or data gathered via the Dash Cam. Several factors can impact Dash Cam performance and the Dash Cam may not record in all situations. The driver should not control the Dash Cam while driving. See your Owner’s Manual for additional details and limitations.

[3] Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA) can remotely help park the vehicle. However, several factors can impact RSPA performance. RSPA may not function correctly if one or more of the parking sensors is damaged, dirty or covered or if weather conditions (heavy rain, snow or fog) interfere with sensor operation. Always inspect the parking area with your own eyes. See Owner's Manual for further details and limitations.

[4] Class comparison based on primary mid-size SUV and mid-size hybrid SUV competitors as defined by Hyundai Motor America. Competitors within this class are the 2026 Toyota Grand Highlander, 2026 Ford Explorer, 2025 Honda Pilot, 2025 Kia Telluride, 2026 Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid and 2026 Toyota Highlander Hybrid. Claim based on comparison of specifications on manufacturer websites.

[5] Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM) assists driver in changing lanes by providing a live view of the blind spots on either side of the vehicle and an audible alert if another vehicle is detected. Turn signal must be activated and other system limitations apply. Do not rely exclusively on BVM. It is the driver's responsibility to be aware of the surroundings and ensure it is clear before changing lanes or directions. See Owner's Manual for further details and limitations.

[6] When the vehicle is parked and the engine has been turned off, the Advanced Rear Occupant Alert (AROA) can help to alert the driver if it detects movement from a child or pet. Upon exiting and locking the vehicle, AROA may provide visual, audible, and/or Bluelink alerts if the interior overhead sensor detects movement. AROA is not a substitute for driver attentiveness. Never leave a child or pet unattended in a vehicle. Bluelink notification requires a Bluelink-equipped vehicle with an active Bluelink account. See Owner's Manual for further details and limitations.

[7] Hyundai Pay is available on select 2021-2026 model year Hyundai vehicles equipped with Bluelink and touchscreen navigation. Requires an active Hyundai Bluelink mobile app account, subject to the Connected Services and Hyundai Pay Terms and Conditions. Cellular and GPS coverage is required. Only use Bluelink features and corresponding devices when safe to do so. Valid Visa, MasterCard, or American Express credit card must be linked to Hyundai Pay. Credit card eligibility and terms are determined by the card issuing bank. Hyundai Pay is currently accepted at select gas stations, charging stations and parking facilities (collectively, “Merchants”) in the U.S. Participating Merchants may not operate in all states or locations. Additional Merchant terms and fees may apply. Features, specifications, fees and availability are subject to change. Visit owners.hyundaiusa.com/resources for more information.

[8] UV-C Sterilization Compartment (“Compartment”) can remove up to 99.9% of germs from the exposed surface of an object. Efficacy varies depending on the size and shape of the object being disinfected and the object’s degree of exposure to UV-C light. For best results, change the position of the object and repeat the disinfection process. Turn off the UV-C function when not in use. Compartment emits ultraviolet rays which may be harmful to skin and eyes and should not be used by children. Prolonged exposure to ultraviolet rays may result in discoloration or deformity of objects. See Owner’s Manual for further details and limitations.

[9] Highway Driving Assist (HDA), is for highway use only and can help keep the vehicle centered in its lane while maintaining a safe distance from the vehicle ahead only when the lane markings are clearly visible on the road and should not be used in poor weather, heavy or varying traffic, or on winding or slippery roads. HDA will not work under all circumstances and will not prevent loss of control. Driver remains responsible to slow or stop the vehicle to avoid a collision. See Owner’s Manual for further details and limitations.

[10] Do not rely exclusively on Full-Display Digital Rearview Mirror. Full-Display Digital Rearview Mirror is a supplemental system and the driver must still be attentive and exercise caution when driving with it. See Owner's Manual for further details and limitations.
