The 2026 Hyundai SANTA FE Gives You the Power of Choice

A Hyundai SANTA FE for every driver

The power of choice has long been one of the most compelling concepts in human history. Whether you're picking between a beach walk or a mountain bike ride — or figuring out which of America’s 63 national parks to visit — more options usually mean better experiences.

That's especially true when it comes to choosing the right SUV. You want the right combination of powertrain, comfort, and capability, and the 2026 Hyundai SANTA FE delivers. With myriad trims, gas and hybrid powertrains, front- or all-wheel drive, and a generous suite of standard driver-assistance features, the SANTA FE gives you the power of choice.

Your choice of trims and powertrains

All SANTA FE trims come packed with value, but the SE and SEL trims are especially well-equipped for an SUV with a starting MSRP under $38,000[1].

Both come standard with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine with up to 277-horsepower and up to 311 pound-feet of torque. Hyundai also offers a hybrid model, with an SEL trim that produces up to 231 horsepower and 271 lb-ft of torque. In front-wheel-drive versions, the hybrid gets an impressive EPA-estimated 37 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway[2] — up to 17 mpg more in the city than its gas-only counterpart.

All-wheel drive is available with both powertrains, and hybrid all-wheel-drive models still get an EPA-estimated 35 mpg in the city and 34[3] mpg combined.

It’s not just about fuel efficiency, though. Both the SE and SEL trims include a hands-free smart liftgate[4] that opens automatically when you stand behind the vehicle with the key. They also come with Smart Cruise Control[5], which automatically maintains a set distance from the vehicle in front of you.

The SEL trim adds even more, including Hyundai Digital Key 2[6], which lets you use a compatible smartphone or smartwatch instead of a key fob. You'll also get an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and rear air vents for third-row passengers.

The SE trim comes standard with Rear Occupant Alert[7], which can alert you if someone is left in the back seat, while the SEL trim and above feature motion-detecting Advanced Rear Occupant Alert[8].

The SANTA FE XRT is adventure-oriented, with looks to match

For weekend adventurers, the XRT trim offers rugged capability with the visual cues to match. It comes standard with all-wheel drive and XRT-exclusive all-terrain tires for sure-footed handling when the pavement ends. With 8.3 inches of ground clearance — 1.3 inches more than other SANTA FE trims — and an increased towing capacity of up to 4,500 pounds[9], it’s more than capable of bringing your gear wherever the road leads.

Distinctive design elements like black-anodized badging, gloss-black mirror caps, dark-finished alloy wheels, and a roof-mounted grab handle (supporting up to 220 pounds of cargo) reinforce its trail-ready vibe.

On long drives to your favorite campsite or trailhead, Navigation-Based Smart Cruise Control with Curve Control[10] and Highway Driving Assist[11] make travel a breeze. Together, they help keep you centered in your lane, maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front of you, and can even slow down slightly if an upcoming curve in the road is detected.

Top of the SANTA FE line: Limited and Calligraphy

If comfort and technology are top priorities, the Limited and Calligraphy trims bring a touch of luxury to the SANTA FE lineup, without sacrificing practicality. Both are available with front- or all-wheel drive and your choice of hybrid or gas-only powertrains.

The Limited trim rolls on 20-inch wheels, while Calligraphy models get bold 21-inch wheels (or 20-inch for the hybrid). Both come standard with a 12-speaker Bose audio system[12], power-folding mirrors, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and a heated steering wheel.

Hyundai’s Blind-Spot View Monitor[13], also standard on these trims, shows a live camera feed of your blind spot in the instrument panel when you activate your turn signal. It's also great for gauging how close you are to the curb when parallel parking.

The Calligraphy trim swaps the second-row bench for captain’s chairs with Nappa leather seating surfaces, reducing seating to six but upping comfort further still. It also includes Hyundai’s Relaxation Seat, which lets the driver (and the front passenger, in hybrid models) recline to a chaise-lounge-like position while the vehicle is parked, so you can wait comfortably in the pickup line.

You'll also find a 12-inch head-up display that projects key driving info directly into your line of sight and a Surround View Monitor system that provides a 360-degree view, which is especially helpful in tight parking spots[14].

Find your Hyundai SANTA FE of choice

Whether your primary concern is cost, fuel efficiency, capability, or tech, the 2026 Hyundai SANTA FE offers a trim with the right set of features for your needs. It's great to have choice–so, which would it be?

Radio transmitters and other vehicle smart keys may interfere in normal operation of the feature. See Owner’s Manual for further details and limitations. Make sure you close the liftgate before driving.

[5] Smart Cruise Control (SCC) is not a collision avoidance or warning device. SCC is for highway use only and should not be used in poor weather, heavy or varying traffic, or on winding or slippery roads. Driver remains responsible to slow or stop the vehicle to avoid a collision. See Owner's Manual for further details and limitations.

[7] Upon turning the engine off, Rear Occupant Alert will provide a visual alert on the instrument cluster. Rear Occupant Alert is not a substitute for driver attentiveness. Never leave a child or pet unattended in a vehicle. See Owner's Manual for further details and limitations.

[8] When the vehicle is parked and the engine has been turned off, the Advanced Rear Occupant Alert (AROA) can help to alert the driver if it detects movement from a child or pet. Upon exiting and locking the vehicle, AROA may provide visual, audible, and/or Bluelink alerts if the interior overhead sensor detects movement. AROA is not a substitute for driver attentiveness. Never leave a child or pet unattended in a vehicle. Bluelink notification requires a Bluelink-equipped vehicle with an active Bluelink account. See Owner's Manual for further details and limitations.

[9] Towing capability varies by configuration. 4,500 lb. maximum towing capacity requires a trailer equipped with trailer brakes. See the towing guide in the Owner’s Manual for proper use and additional information.

[10] Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC) with Curve Control can help automatically adjust vehicle speed when driving on highways by using road information from the navigation system. NSCC only operates on main roads of select highways, and does not operate at interchanges or junctions. NSCC should not be used in poor weather, heavy or varying traffic, on winding or slippery roads, or if the navigation system is not working properly. NSCC is a driver convenience feature and not a collision avoidance or warning device. Driver remains responsible for checking the speed limit and distance to the vehicle ahead, steering the vehicle and slowing or stopping the vehicle to avoid a collision. See Owner's Manual for further details and limitations.

[11] Highway Driving Assist (HDA), is for highway use only and can help keep the vehicle centered in its lane while maintaining a safe distance from the vehicle ahead only when the lane markings are clearly visible on the road and should not be used in poor weather, heavy or varying traffic, or on winding or slippery roads. HDA will not work under all circumstances and will not prevent loss of control. Driver remains responsible to slow or stop the vehicle to avoid a collision. See Owner’s Manual for further details and limitations.

[12] Bose is a registered trademark of Bose Corporation.

[13] Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM) assists driver in changing lanes by providing a live view of the blind spots on either side of the vehicle and an audible alert if another vehicle is detected. Turn signal must be activated and other system limitations apply. Do not rely exclusively on BVM. It is the driver's responsibility to be aware of the surroundings and ensure it is clear before changing lanes or directions. See Owner's Manual for further details and limitations.

[14] Surround View Monitor (SVM) is a parking support system. SVM cannot completely eliminate blind spots, may not detect every object and does not warn of moving objects. Always check surroundings before moving vehicle. See Owner's Manual for further details and limitations.
