Lexus offered a high-performance V8 in the second-generation IS, creating the legendary IS F sedan, but the picture wasn’t as rosy when the automaker pulled back the curtain on the all-new 2014 model. The third-generation car was larger and heavier than before, and until recently, there was no V8 option. Lexus did offer an F Sport trim for the IS 350, though, which brought aggressive styling and other appearance upgrades but no performance improvements. Later, the automaker introduced an exclusive limited-slip differential, but it was limited to rear-drive models.
