Overview
The Infiniti Q50 Red Sport 400 AWD is the premium trim level of the midsize Q50 lineup. It overtops the rest of the Q50 lineup by 100hp from its 3.0-liter twin-tubocharged V-6. All of the Q50 trims have a seven-speed automatic transmission as the sole transmission choice. As the trim name suggests, it’s also standard with all-wheel drive, along with a “dynamic digital suspension,” and trim-exclusive 19-inch wheels.
Key Features
- Twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6 engine, seven-speed automatic transmission standard
- 19-inch sport wheels, black-painted exterior mirrors, red “S” badging, and dual exhaust tips with a brushed satin finish, unique exhaust with a more powerful sound
- Semi-aniline leather-appointed seats, Gallery White with Red stitching or Graphite with Red stitching, aluminum pedals, genuine Matte Black carbon fiber trim
- Dual, high-definition displays, wireless Apple CarPlay, wired Android Auto, Bose Performance Series 16-speaker audio two standard USB ports in the front (one Type-A, one Type-C)

Reviewed a 2016 INFINITI Red Sport 400 AWD on Jun 9, 2023
This car is so god damn fast, and incredibly comfortable. Infotainment system is a little lackluster but that can be remedied with a sub-$100 Apple CarPlay extension off Amazon. Excellent value, in fact much more affordable than it’s German competition, the Mercedes C43, Audi S4, and BMW M340i (three of my favorite brands of all time), despite equal performance and luxury. Other than the infotainment, my only complaint would be how light the steering is, but that’s a matter of personal preference, as if I could have it my way none of my cars would even have power steering.
