Overview
The sixth-generation Ford Mustang (2015 to 2023) was notable for a lot of things, but perhaps most importantly was the reintroduction of a four-cylinder engine for the first time since 1993. Unlike the four-cylinder engines that were utilized in the Mustang II and Fox-bodied Mustang, engine came at a premium, thanks to its 310hp EcoBoost turbocharged inline four-cylinder. In more recent years, the EcoBoost has eliminated the Cyclone V-6 entirely, and in 2020, Ford offered an EcoBoost-specific High Performance Package that accentuated the four-cylinder Mustang’s handling capabilities.
