Overview
The Challenger SRT 392 once occupied the space that the current Scat Pack does, providing a serious step up in horsepower and torque from the Challenger R/T, and holding the middle ground before you got to the Hellcat’s 707hp. The SRT 392 arrived for the 2015 model year’s facelift and replaced the SRT-8, and lasted through the 2018 model year, after which it was replaced by the Scat Pack. The SRT 392 provided 485hp and 475-lb.ft. of torque, which should be familiar if you’ve researched a Scat Pack at all. A bonus over the SRT 392 Charger, buyers could also opt for a standard six-speed gearbox or an eight-speed automatic, The SRT 392 also had a long list of option packages to choose from.
Key Features
- 485hp 392 Hemi V-8 engine, standard six-speed manual transmission
- Performance hood with functional hood scoop and heat extractors, SRT 392 badges, 20 x 9-in. Low Gloss Black wheels (shared with the Hellcat)
- 180 mph primary speedometer, SRT 392 badges, SRT 392 configurable drive modes, Performance Laguna leather upholstery with SRT embossed logo
- Uconnect 4C with 8.4-in. display, AM/FM radio system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, CD/DVD/MP3 format capability, SiriusXM Radio, integrated voice command with Bluetooth, Brake Assist
