Car was sold when I got there . Tried to sell me a car for about 10-15k more. Gave $100 to Juan which was told was refundable by check only. I ended up buying another vichele from a different dealer. So I tried contacting Juan for my refund by phone and email. Then I emailed Phil for a solution. No1 responded .

Dear Orlando,

I apologize the vehicle you wanted was not available when you arrived at our dealership.  We often have similar vehicles at similar prices and our team made an assumption there might have been more models that might get your attention.  I'm sorry for any frustration you felt.

Extremely poor experience! Did not want to give them a star would not let me post with out giving them one. This dealership advertises vehicles they do have. I made the point to call this dealer prior to heading out (45 min away) to verify the vehicles I am interested in were still available. I spoke to seveal people, one I was told was the sales manager and all said YES and the cars were waiting for me. I knew things were not good the moment I arrived. Then quickly was informed the cars sold week ago. Then with what I will say was a less then sincere apologies from Management tried to talk me into seeing other similar cars which were for more money. So unprofessional, the sales rep who was assigned to me was on his cell phone with other people the entire time. The kicker was the car he was to show me and said went under a 124 point inspection not only needed a jump to work sounded like the motor was going to fall out plus the car smelled rancid. What I also learned from mgt was their people you speak with over the phone do not work on the car lot. I will say it again, the absoulty worst experience I ever had. This is what gives car sales a bad rap. What ever happen to honesty and integrity?

Response from East Hills Chevrolet of Douglaston:

Dear Mary,

I'm sorry we could not find a vehicle that fit your budget.  I spoke to our managers that were involved with your inquiry and it was relayed there was some flexibility in vehicles and that is the main reason our team set the appointment with you.  We could have done a better job identifying any additional considerations, especially when it came to budget; however, because this can be a personal and private discussion, our management and sales teams prefer to speak in person.  I apologize that we could not assist you and I wish you all the best.

Dealer called back quickly after inquiry. Initially was talking all kinds of nonsense about car is listed at rock bottom price plus and additional $1000+ of dealer prep fees, etc. Told them I would look elsewhere. Another person called back and was much more cordial and immediately dropped the price. Just don't like the back and forth. They recovered and I'd give a second chance to.

Response from East Hills Chevrolet of Douglaston:

Hi Frank,

Thank you for this feedback. I'm not able to determine the original person you spoke with and the subsequent dealership employee was.  The reason I ask is that we have an offsite business center that handles our leads and it might be possible that someone offsite was working off a script or did not escalate your request to our management like they are instructed to do. In any event, I appreciate the feedback and your willingness to give us a second try.  Please let me know how I can assist you further.

I purchased a pre-owned 2014 Chevy Impala from East Hills. I specifically asked whether there were any fees associated with putting the deal together and they said no. I was given an approval by the finance manager at a specific rate and on the date of delivery the rate changed as well as a phantom bank fee that I was very unhappy with. I'm assuming the deal I negotiated was too good and they needed to make more of a profit so they conjured up a bank fee and raised my interest rate almost 1 point higher than what was originally quoted to me. Not thrilled but that's the car business for you.

Response from East Hills Chevrolet of Douglaston:

Dear Mr. Edwards,

I'm sorry we have a misunderstanding about the terms of the purchase.  The financial institution imposed a bank fee as part of their extension of credit.  The rate increased as the terms of the sale were restructured and renegotiated and as part of the bank's acceptance of the financing.  We appreciate your business and we wish you all the best.

Drove 40 mins to go see 5 cars they had available. They confirmed all were there the same day we went. Got there and all but one were gone. One sold earlier that day so I don't blame them for that, but the other 3 were sold over a week earlier. C'mon guys really? Get it together.

Response from East Hills Chevrolet of Douglaston:

Dear S,

I'm so sorry about this.  We don't want to waste anyone's time.  We've been researching the issue with the 3 vehicles remaining in our inventory feed.  I've narrowed it down to the timing of the bank funding loans (we're seeing a delay of 7-10 business days.).  The vehicles are not marked as sold/delivered until the bank funds the loan.  This is not your issue, but we will work with our banks to improve things going forward.  If there is anything we can do to assist, please contact Rob Amendola, used vehicle sales manager, at 718-279-5300.

This Dealer is very Dishonest. TOTAL BAIT AND SWITCH. They Jack up the price when you get to dealership. They increased the price of the 2015 truck after I showed them the internet price on cargurus and their website was $4000 lower. After I left the dealership they increase the price as much as $5000. Don't go to this dealership and Don't buy nothing from them. I would give them 0 stars if it was possible.. STAY AWAY FROM THEM...

Dear Zaak,

We are not sure who you are.  We checked our database and we found someone named Zaak who submitted a lead on 2/25/16.  When we contacted you, our client services representative relayed that it was not you who submitted his information and that you did not inquire on a vehicle.  Our used car sales manager contacted this customer named Zaak yesterday and he said he never submitted a lead or wrote this review.  I'm not sure if you are the same person or not.  We do have some vehicles that we price aggressively with a stipulation that you finance the vehicle purchase with us.  Is th

Sorry folks, these guys are bums. Avoid them, there dishonestly is blatant. They called me to test drive the car I was interested in, I arrived at the dealer several hrs later and ask to see the rep that called me to test drive the car. The rep. directs me to Tim the sales agent and he would handle the transaction, Well Timmy waits till we leave the showroom floor and tells me that the car was sold some time ago and that phone rep was not familiar with procedure[what?], he now wants to sell me

I came out all the way from DE on public transit fully expecting to drive away in my new car. It was a 6.5 + hour trip. When I got there, IR was a mad rush to fill out papers and add the car to my insurance.... and I STILL had not had a chanvento see the car!! When I finally saw it it had striations on the headlights like ready to crack, a small scratch/dent on the bumper, two missing paint chips on the door panel and a cigarette born on the CLOTH not LEATHER seat! I wad told Well you are buying a used car and we can't list every detail! FUNNY but I remember the word Pristine being thrown about! Also the financing they were pitting in obscene $675 far prep fees (I found a pen, debris and French fries) $75 optional paperwork fees I guess they felt compelled to excersice every option and $1000 gap fee for the privilege of financing me. Needless to say I left the car and was stranded till 3am in Philly waiting for my sweetheart to come get me. Knowing I am a mobility impaired mother of a special needs child... why lie like this to make a sale? The product speaks for itself! Ridiculous. I'd give them 0 stars but I didnt know if that as an option!

I drove up to this dealership from southern NJ and while the sales team was pleasant and honest and I got the vehicle I drove up for it was there follow through that left me disappointed. There were several issues I wanted taken care of and they response back to me once I left the dealership was non existent. The customer service I received after purchasing the car was poor and I wouldn't recommend anyone buying there unless you lived down the street and could harass them in person to get things done.

This place is smoking mirrors. So as I started my car search I set my sights on the Acura TSX. I spent almost a month reviewing through every possible car in the tri-state area. These searches lead me to East Hills Chevy. I was introduced to Joe who was helpful at first and I guess he earned my trust. I was a bit apprehensive about buying an Acura from a non-certified dealer and he had assured me that dealers use those terms to make more money and that east Hills Chevy had a similar certification process. Once it came down to financing all the games started. Prior to coming to the dealership I had asked him what rate I would be getting and he said that it was something he did not know and that I would need to talk to their department (that to me was a bit sketchy). Regardless I went over. I was there for about 4 hours before their finance team took care of me. As I waited I kept asking Joe about the rate and he proceeded to tell me that I would definitely get something competitive since I had a good credit score. I sit down and get inundated with forms and signatures and then finally they tell me that I am getting a 7% rate with valley National (Which is about 3.5% hire than what I was approved). Also, Valley National as a bank is a complete Joke. Alright, so it was a lesson well learned on my end but it did not stop there. About 3 weeks later I took my car over to a nearby dealership due to a ticking noise that I heard on the right side. The dealership did a diagnosis for free and told me that my rear brake pads and rotors were pretty worn (FYI - This is on a 2009 car with 26000 miles - almost impossible). After quoting me about $500+ for everything I was so aggravated that I called Joe and I explained the situation. Almost immediately he says that they were trying to take advantage of me without asking me about any technical details. After I told him that I felt that he was being unreasonable he tells me to bring my car in. After another 2 hours of watching my car on a lift with no one in sight - the mechanic brings it down to go on a test drive (figured they would started with that...anyway). He then puts in back on the lift for another 2 hours and then tells me that they can't order the Acura part since its too late. I insisted that I needed a loaner since I needed to have this done. The car that they gave me (please remember that this is a dealership) was a HHC that had terrible brakes (car rattled every time I tried to stop), gas tank with less than quarter tank of gas, a wad of paper towels stuffed in the cup holder, food crumbs and stains all over the seats - just disgusting. I bit my tongue and drove on. The next day I comeback to see my car still on the lift and the guy replaced the brake pads (with after market parts) and resurfaced the rotors. About an hour and a half later he gets it done and we do a test drive. Let’s just say that it felt better but far from perfect. You might feel like you are saving a few bucks at first but if you are looking for great service, a dealership that stands by their cars and also a place that allows you to find competitive finance rates save yourself a few headaches, $$ and cliché car salesmen.
