I was told the car was ready for me to test drive. I
drove 3 hours to their location to be told and shown
a picture of the car that was in the shop and had all
the lights on dash on showing major issues. They
tried to get me to look at other cars on their lot that
is their ploy to lure people in to sell other vehicles.
There was another potential client there when I
walked in and they did the same thing to him with a
different vehicle. He just like I walked out without
staying another minute. Merlex Auto Group is a
dishonest dealer.

Although I've received multiple texts pertaining the vehicle I inquired about on Cargurus, later found out from dealership that it's AI (Grace), not a live human ..drove 3+ hours to dealership and the vehicle I came to see was "at the shop" and didn't know what was wrong with it, had another car in mind but that also was at "bay door, waiting to be shipped", again not on the lot...salesman talked too much, barely let me get a word out, was eager to just point me to another car, which out of the "1000+" cars showing online, only about 10 was available on the lot and none were anywhere near the price range of the ones I was interested in

I purchased a vehicle on September 25, 2025, from MERLEX AUTO dealership. Although the sales contract is marked “as-is” they accepted responsibility to diagnose and perform necessary repairs after the sale. By undertaking this responsibility, you assumed an obligation to perform a competent diagnosis and repair. On September 29th the vehicle was turned over to MERLEX for repair! They failed to do so has caused me substantial loss and inconvenience. They allow a so called mechanic name Will to fix the truck which he damaged my car causing it over 11k dollars in damages. They had my truck for 3 weeks, once returned I had taken it to BMW AND IT WAS THERE FOR A MONTH, and still not running properly… and this is DEC 2025 this situation has caused me SO MUCH STRESS.I WILL NOT REST UNTIL MY SITUATION IS RESOLVED! I have contacted FTC,BBB, Dealer board of VA AND I ENCOURAGE EVERYONE THAT HAVE GOTTEN SCAMMED BY MERLEX AUTO GROUP, GLOBAL AUTO TO REPORT THEM HELP OTHER CONSUMERS.

I purchased this beautiful Lexus RX350 from Merlex auto group! Eli was great salesperson and Nik was awesome financing. Very happy with my new purchase thank you to the Merlex team.
I was not impressed. I visited the dealer, and given the high number of Mercedes they have listed, was surprised to see how small the lot was.
The car I wanted to see was shown as blue, but on the lot it was gray. The online pics looked great, but in person the seat had visible wear. I am wondering it if was really the same car.
I also noticed that the cars on the lot had dust on them. Maybe it is a dusty road, but it was evidence that they did not clean the cars often enough.
I wanted to see two cars, but the salesman explained he was only allowed to have one key at a time. That was my que: I WAS AT THE WRONG PLACE. If I am looking at two luxury cars and the dealer only allows one key, then this is not the place for me. I am not expecting to be pampered, but they cater to a clientele that is not up to my standards.

Fake advertising. The car doesnt exist. I went there and they said the car had been sold a while ago. Waste of time and gas.
Came down the other day to test drive a couple of SUVs and trucks, I will say even though I didn’t end up buying a ford I found my dream car and asked if a test drive was possible, long story short I ended up getting a great deal on a Mercedes Benz. They detailed the car and even let me take some photos with there rolls Royce can’t wait to come back to upgrade my car thanks Merlex!

I drove 30 minutes to the lot after confirming a specific vehicle was listed for sale online. Upon arrival, I was informed by a salesman that the car had already been sold. While disappointing, I understand that inventory can move quickly. However, the real issues began from there.
First, the salesman was utterly unprofessional. He offered no apology for the wasted trip and gave a hollow promise to text me his contact information for future vehicles. That text never came. This is a basic level of customer service that they couldn't even manage.
Second, and most concerning, is that weeks later, the same "sold" vehicle is still actively advertised for sale on their website. This is not an inventory lag; this is a deliberate bait-and-switch tactic to lure in customers. It is fundamentally dishonest.
Driving out of my way to be met with indifference, broken promises, and deceptive advertising is unacceptable. This experience revealed everything I need to know about their business ethic
I would rate a zero if possible. The kid salesmen provide the most unprofessional service I’ve ever experienced. They attempt to add all kinds of made up fees. Follow up is poor, will waste your time…I’ve brought many cars and never meant salesmen this slimy. And beware the listed price is not the listed price.

I am very dissatisfied with this vehicle I purchased from your dealership over a month ago yet it is still listed for sale on this web site! This is unacceptable! False advertisement! When I purchased the vehicle, the initial sales interaction was pleasant. However, the very next day—after driving 2.5 hours home—I discovered the brakes were unsafe and one tire was severely worn on the inside. I immediately notified the dealership, and I was told these issues would be addressed. To comply, I again took time off work and drove over 3 hours with traffic back to this dealership. At that visit, I was informed only the worn tire would be replaced with a used tire. I was told the brakes would be ordered and mailed to me, but that I would be responsible for the installation cost. Over a month has passed, and I still have not received the brakes. In addition, I have repeatedly reached out regarding my vehicle tags. I was told Delaware’s DMV is “very slow,” yet after contacting the DMV

The experience started out positive but after all the financial information was collected and about
to be sent to the finance guy for final approval, I was told that even though the Commonwealth of
Virginia allowed online processing of financing this business had a policy that if a customer
financed through this business, the customer had to come in to the showroom to sign off on the
paperwork.
I have purchased a house online signing off via online documents but you tell me at the last
minute I have to drive 5 hours to sign paperwork that fed-ex can send overnight? They lost that

When I told them I was Pre-approved they told me that was only AI which really didn't mean I was pre-approved. When filing an contract I told the sales person one thing and he wrote something else on my application. Merlex had dishonest sales tactic.

Complete Bait and Switch operation. Was told by the manager that the price listed was their cost, not what the vehicle sells
for. Said he had no control over how CarGurus listed the vehicle. The listed price did not include almost $2000 in "Dealer
Service Fees" and also did not include initial cleaning, servicing etc. If we wanted that, the price was $34,995 and there were
service fees added to that.
Would not recommend this dealership to anyone.

Avoid this dealership…I didn’t look at the reviews until I was already there and others were correct. The dealership is a scam. They advertise a price then when you are there, the price is much higher. For the vehicle I was looking at, they raised the price $6k. lol….$6k!!!! Stating that the lower price I saw was for a dealer to dealer sale ($3k of the $6k difference) and a “reconditioning fee” of another $3k….I immediately left! Don’t go there! Complete waste of time!

Arrived after speaking with the sales rep, Hamid, and they could not locate the key for vehicle. Wasted a day of PTO and an uber ride in anticipation of purchasing car. Hamid sent someone else to inform me they could not locate the key. When inquiring if there was an extra key, the answer was no, to my surprise. Selling a used car for $20k with only one key, which was not listed in the description, is baffling. Thank you, Mustafa, for your help. You’re the only reason why it is 2 stars and not 1.

I had an appointment for 3pm 12.14.24 to view the vehicle which I had confirmed and responded to the reminders that I was still available for the said time.
I drove 13 miles to the dealer and was on time, only to be told the car was sold last night, I do not know why I was not informed before the reminders on 12.14 that the car had been sold, disappointing.
Not good, I could have used my time more productively.
In future please take the time to save your potential clients the time and gas!
I didn't actually purchase my vehicle from them, but the interaction with them during the process was top notch. I will definitely come to them in the near future because my wife will be looking soon. Customer service is a lost art nowdays, so I appreciate any business that shows exceptional skills in that department. I look forward to doing business with them in the future!

Grace had been in contact with me since last week and I was transparent with her about my situation. She said the pre-approval would be honored. Take caution if you choose to buy from them. Today I called for information on an Audi A7. I was greeted by a salesman who said his name was “Mike”. After some conversation he informed me that a vehicle I had inquired about just a week or so ago was not sold but was available. When I said i wanted to see that car he then said it was out for servicing and insisted that I come and look at another vehicle. I told him I would rather not and wait for the original car he kept insisting over and over that I come and consider this other car. At this point I asked to speak with a sales manager to have some questions answered and it this time he considered and labeled me as hostile. As a customer I’m not sure how I should feel or anyone should feel when asking for information to be labeled as hostile. If anything I feel he wouldn’t let me get a word in and didn’t listen to anything I had to say. You be the judge of whether or not you want to conduct business with this dealership.

This dealership is another one of your bait and switch dealerships (they show you one price to get you to click on it then BOOM!! somehow the price is somehow 7k more then the retail price)
They have some 3000 dollar reconditioning fee which they don’t tell you about unless you know what your doing and don’t just rush to the credit application like they try to do from the start

Vehicle did not have nearly the features as described in the add. I have contacted them several times and have as of today not received any response. I also stated during the buying process that I did not need tags, that I had my own. A week after purchase I receive a call, not to address my complaint but to let me know my tags were in and ready for pickup. So now, I have to wrestle to get my money back from the DMV for tags I did not need or want.
Underwhelming. I’ve been looking at a lot of cars and this is that car place that advertises low but will NOT tell you the out the door price. Let me tell you, it is NOT the advertised price plus tax and title. There is at least a “commission fee” based on the price of the car, but they won’t tell you what it is until you come in.
The car that I was told was in “great shape” reeked of foul smells (smoke?urine?). It was obvious why it hadn’t sold in over 200 days. I didn’t wait around for the sales manager to explain to me all the extra fees that the online salesperson wasn’t allowed to discuss with me. WAY too many better dealerships out there to waste time with places like this.

Merlex was great! It’s a smaller used car dealership, but the staff was great! Very nice and very accommodating. They are thorough and take their time with their customers to try and get them the best possible deal. Also, the vehicle selection was great! I had a great experience working with the team at Merlex. I came all the way from Allentown, PA to purchase a Range Rover from them. I worked with Moe and Pete while I was there. They really made me feel like I was apart of the family. They showed great hospitality and made the buying experience very pleasant. Even Amazon has bad reviews I called in and spoke to Peter in regards to a BMW six series, grand coupe, and was set an appointment to take a look at the vehicle and explore possible financing options, I was treated with great customer service and felt like family and was treated with the best deal possible with 100 mile radius thank you so much to Mr. Peter and Mr. Moe for getting me into this beautiful BMW. On the comms side, very helpful, they answered my questions before I arrived at the store.
I visited a couple hour early because my work schedule was all over the place that day but even
then the car was almost on the door ready for the test drive so bonus point for that.
I actually loved it but Moses let me try a couple more and at last I decided to go on another route
with an Audi A6 that stoled my heart.
I was skeptical at first but actually all went smoothly and we did business.

Same as the other dealers that I went , price from 36.566k went to 49k out of the door . I think is a new trend for the dealers to rip off people, they advertise the vehicle for 36k and price goes to 49k .
Please stay away from this place, very questionable business practices, very deceiving when it comes to pricing. I asked a simple question as to the price of a particular Vehicle and the response that I received was astonishing, the salesman stated that he doesn't know what the real price is,but the price that they have advertised is definitely not the selling price!!!!! The experience was awful. I went to look at a Mercedes E350 with an advertised price of 21,000. They also confirmed the price over the phone before I arrived. When I spoke to the finance office, I was told that my price would be about $12,000 more than the advertised price. When I asked them why, they claimed that the $21,000 price is only for dealers and bankers. This was absolutely ridiculous. I will never go there again and would not recommend this company to anyone else. Trust the bad reviews.
Horrible experience with these people. They had a 2017 BMW 540i listed at $23k. I called and explained I was very interested in the car, and I would be driving 10+ hours to make a purchase. The guy I spoke with didn’t seem to care or have any interest in what I was saying. Then told me the $23k car listed on CarGurus they’re actually asking $27k+ for it. They list their cars cheap to bait people. If someone is willing to do that just to make a sale, no telling what else they would do to take advantage of someone. Do not waste your time here.

My experience with him real nice and pleasant.
The car, a 2016 VW Golf was advertised at $7999. The price of the car was verified by phone and by text and was advertised on several sites at that price. I made a two hour drive to purchase the car and was informed that the price of $7999 was available only to wholesalers and that my price would be $14,502. I wasted better than four hours drivetime based on the repeated phone and text confirmations of the car's price and availability. I would advise extreme caution in dealing with this dealership.

Went to see a vehicle that was posted for $36,999, but was told the final price would be $50,000. $13,001 in additional fees is an absolute joke. Don't waste your time visiting this dealership. Please believe the reviews. I should have believed the reviews, but I gave it a try anyway and the reviews were dead on. Stay away!

First of all they post pictures of cars on their site at too good to be true prices as "bait cars" and tell you as soon as you show up "it's in the shop getting serviced, and then try and sell you some other garbage. On top of that, they are misleading customers by posting cars on their site for great prices and then mark the cars up 7-9k in their "fees and certifications", which is all a lie. Went there for a Lexus that mysteriously wasn't there, but started looking at others they had on the lot. After trying to negotiate, a car they had listed for $23k ended up coming out to over $31k. They mentioned a $4000 certification fee that ensures a factory warranty from the manufacturer, which turns out after going to a actual Lexus dealership, the car we went to look at Merlex was WAY out of its certification range and that $4000 fee was a bogus charge to increase profit.

Service was awful the car I drove 2hrs to see the (Audi S7 that wasn't even there. My salesman (Ryan nickens) looked like he was high and stand offish, other people came to see the s550 which wasn't there either. I went and got pre approved for more than enough and The way he talk about the customers was out of line as well. They use the bait car tactics to get customers to come to them and try to sway your interest to a car that’s actually there. I was even thinking about going for the S8 they pushed on me but a worker came over put his tools and bag on the car and drove off with it while I was looking at it for no longer than 3 minutes. Ryan kept saying the manager has the car and he 2 minutes away with it. After waiting there and listening to him brag about the owners cars for 30 minutes they brought a different car S5 which was doubled the price as the s7. Overall the service rep (Grace) was nice through texts but if I could give less than one star I would. Worst dealership ever.
Very unprofessional. Immediately reached out to see if I wanted to test drive the vehicle, was told it would be ready when I arrived. I get there and was encouraged to go to the bank to get a cashiers check before even seeing or test driving the vehicle which was now off site. I was actually told to view another vehicle instead of the original I made the “Test Drive” appointment for. Very negative experience. Left in less than 10 minutes.
After talking with what seem to be a nice salesman, I told him to please give me my final number out the door, the listing price is $34,559. They’re out the door price $47,580, what an absolute joke! $13,021 in mysterious fees are you kidding me! Buyers beware do your research and sometimes you just have to trust the reviews. Lesson learned.

There is absolutely no parking near the dealership. The people who work there are RUDE! One guy answered the phone and was so rude he acted like he really didn’t want to be on the phone until he heard us say we were coming to look at the car then he acted chipper and was like great see you soon. Then we got there and they wanted our personal information including social security numbers, address, and drivers license BEFORE they ever got the car for us to even look at. Apparently the car isn’t on site they “lease a garage to keep other cars at.” Not a good experience at all. It was a very sketchy scenario and we stood around for 30mins until we just decided to leave. Vehicle is still listed for a reason. 10/10 do not recommend them to anyone.
Dealer only responded via robo email, never personally. I drove 200 miles to look at the cars he listed online, most were already sold. We were told by the salesman that they sell so many cars per day that they cant keep up with it. (BS). Salesman did not offer to show us any other cards. We got a bad feeling about service later on IF we would purchase a car. So we left and purchased a car somewhere else.

I left this dealership very disappointed! I can’t see how they can sleep at night knowing that they deliberate lie to people who want to patronize their business. I drove 2 hours to get there, I called first, and I asked Ryan as soon as I got there, was the car here and he said yes. Lied right in my face! CAR BEEN SOLD!! Roberto and the Merlex staff, God is not pleased. This has got to stop! If you never get blessed to sale another car, please remember why.
I came in good faith and though disappointed because I was mishandled, I left in peace.

The person who I was speaking with was very helpful and I explained to him how I'm interested in the Lexus, I explained to him about my situation financially and me working on getting my driver's license. I gave him a time frame when I would be possibly be able to have it resolved and he said he'll follow up with me then.

Just like other reviews have stated, they have a vehicle listed at a great price. After texting with salesperson, “after checking” the vehicle was “recently” test-driven and “the deal went through.” Sounds like click bait to me.
This dealership is so shady that I lost track of
numerous lies. From sales people to the
manager, integrity was by far lacking. The
yelp reviews say it all in more detail. Buyer

I was asked to give some examples. Letâs

1). The car passed our dealer inspection and a
independent Audi dealer inspection. Later
found out it did not pass inspections. Nor was
Audi inspected.
2). The car is being detailed to put on
showroom floor. It will be ready by the time
you get here. Found out later it wasnt on site.
3). Car is ready to be sold. But couldnât find
the car!
4). Car has no issues, found out later it did not
pass the dealer inspection.
5). I have a carfax, later we donât have a
carfax on veh.
6) Iâll get you VIN tomorrow. Never received.
7). One of the nicest cars we gotâ¦Uhhhh, but
apparently has engine issues!

They told me someone was driving it to the lot and that they were stuck in traffic but they never arrived. They then told me to drive an hour away at night to see the car. When I asked if they would bring the car to me at a nearby location, the salesman said, “No dealer in the world would do that.” I spent two days there, never saw the car, they lied about bringing it to the lot, and I drove 9 hours home in my own car. They blamed me by saying, “You chose to not see the car,” and “You’re being completely unreasonable.” Way to do business Merlex!

Worst experience I've ever had at a car dealership. I drove over 90 mins to buy a car. Josh was the rudest sale representative I've ever encountered. I told him I wanted to see the 2016 Mercedes-Benz C300 listed for about $19,000. He unlocked the car for me and as I'm looking at the car he tells me that the car is actually a 2018 and is selling for $28,000. I asked him why they said $19,000 on their website and he got angry and frustrated. I then asked about a 2016 Lexus IS 300 that was listed on their website for $21,999. I asked to see the vehicle. He said the vehicle was in the shop and I could not see it. He then continued to walk inside and said something to his coworkers mocking me or something. They looked at me and laughed. He then sent his Manger to come talk to me about the Lexus. The Manger informed that Lexus was not $21,999. It was actually $28,000. The I've never seen this kind of unprofessional and nasty behavior.

I just went into an insurance quote hunt, & got totally geared up for the purchase of a Jaguar F-Pace. I was contacted and told it was in inventory at a partnered location. In route to the location I thought I should give them a verification call, just to make sure the car was there…. IT WAS CLICKBAIT. According to the candid “partners”, the car sold months ago. I wish I could be paid for disappointment & time wasted after this two week long process. I feel like I just ran into the stereotypical “sleazy” used car salesman; but the online version. Zero stars for your finagle attempts MERLEX.
I inquired about this vehicle back on 11/19. After several email exchanges with different
people, I was eventually contacted by the same person and they informed me the
vehicle was still available. The next day, the price increased almost $5k. When asked
why, they told me it was a "flash sale" and they had no control over when they took
place. They said the manager would honor the original sale price and when I inquired
when I could come and meet them I was informed the vehicle had sold. It is now 11/28
and the vehicle is still listed on CarGurus as the higher value. This took the vehicle from
a "great" value to a "fair" value. Several lies were told, no one seemed to know what
was going on. Obviously a bait and switch dealer...buyer beware (and don't bother) with
Merlex Auto Group.
“Click bait” is the best term that I can use to describe this dealership. They lure you to the dealership with no regard to distance traveled and they then engage in the shady practice of tacking on non-traditional fees which raise the price of the car by between 5k and 7k. Any car listed by this dealer is likely a deceptive listing.
I experienced this same practice from another dealership and I knew to call and verify pricing prior to heading to this dealership.
Unfortunately, this seems to be a practice for many of the CarGurus listings, particularly in N.Y.
The devil is definitely in the details with this dealership. Proceed with caution!
Good experience, but I wasn’t given the opportunity to see the car. I inquired about. The salesperson and his trainer were very green…so they missed some steps in the sales process. They never asked about my motivation behind looking to buy a car. They wanted a sale, even if it was on a car that I hated. I didn’t like the fact that they have A LOT of damaged cars in their inventory. Perhaps if they walked the lot before getting on the sales floor, they would know where not to walk the customer.

This dealership is a complete scam, they have zero respect for customers and 100% irresponsible. They lie about their inventory, they add good vehicles with pricing just to have people visit them. I Spoke and Text with them before I drove for 1h20minute, they confirm the car was available. Once I got there they asked for my name, the guy was like you're here for the X6? Then quickly offered me to look other vehicle because they know they were lying. Don't waste time with them.
Literally just got an email of newly listed GMC YUKON I immediately call to see if it’s available. The guy answered talking all fast said we have plenty so I give him the stock number he puts me on hold comes back and says that one is not available. I said well are you sure I just got an email saying it was just listed. He says that one is not available and hangs up!! That was so damn rude!! Won’t be doing business with people like that! If I lived closer I would go give him a piece of my mind!!
17 full size SUV's listed, asked dealer if they were on the lot, was told yes. Drove 1 hour and 45 minutes to go look and possibly pick one. Got there and they only had 4 to choose from and none of the units listed were there, they told me 2 had deposits on them 1 sold and another they were sending back to auction with title problems....what a waste of a saturday, then they asked if there was anything they could do for me my response was " no you have wasted enough of my time and gas already"
Don’t waste your time driving to the dealership unless you understand that there will be a $5000 premium added as their standard markup. The numbers advertised online are not accurate. I was initially told the vehicle that I was interested in was already sold and not available, yet when I arrived at their lot it was still there. I test drive the car and went in the back to discuss the price and that’s when I started getting played. Their sales pitch is to be “honest and straightforward” as if they’re showing you what they bought the car for to convince you that they’re only making money on the added $5000 fee and in my case even showing you that they are willing to take a loss but don’t be fooled. These are all wholesale auction vehicles with high mileage. They are buying these cars for pennies on the dollars and putting very little money into them to flip them. I find it crazy that they expected me to believe they payed kbb value for a vehicle at an auction. Don’t be a sucker
In regards to my salesman I will give him a 5 star rating. In regards to the quality of the vehicles and an overall presentation of the vehicle 1 star very poor, car was not washed, cleaned out inside was horrible, If I'm going to sell you a vehicle I would make sure that vehicle is prepped, and well presented. Presentation means everything when you are trying to sell a vehicle. The listing was not accurately presented. The vehicle was not clean it looked very bad. I would recommend the dealership to my friends.
I spoke with a young man on the phone that seem as though it all was a joke to him. While trying to get information about the vehicle,whether it was still available,the shipping options etc. He was in a playful mood, speaking at times in an fake cowboy accent that i didn't find amusing at all. Once i explained to him the seriousness of the call only then did he speak in his normal voice and give me the information i wanted. He was a negative experience and actually make me look elsewhere for a vehicle.

These guys are legit I went there car was ready and cleaned up I got my numbers from them they did negotiate the best they can and they worked a deal for me, I am writing this review on here because these guys have clean cars and quality cars, there fees are high for a reason but they cars are quality and I just pick that over quantity because at the end of the day I want to give my business to small business because they really do appreciate it and this is me letting anyone that is looking on there site there cars move fast while I was there they sold like 8 cars in front of me because they have quality cars and aggressive price but they work with you which is very important other places don’t work with you and they charge all the money for sitting in there show room and eating free snacks these guys you are in and out and they make sure your happy before you leave! Higher when that didn’t work out for them they had to default back to my pre-approval. My credit took an unnecessary hit. Now I’m running the vehicle and going to another dealer. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

Discussed the details of the car and asked for the best Out The Door price for the vehicle. We went back and forth over the price and even
after informing the dealer that the information on the car listed was incorrect and that I had the CarFax which stated the car had front end
damage in an accident they didn't care the information was misleading. We did not agree on a price. I gave it a week and checked back in
and the car was still available but now the price has increased 250 because he did an oil change. Was I about to perchance a car that would
need an oil change immediately? This dealer is only after every cent he can squeeze out of you and you should run as fast as you can from

2016 BMW X6 is no longer available! This
dealership will persuade you into thinking the
vehicle is there and itâs not! I brought this truck in
August. When I purchased it, they sold me a truck
with an unsafe tire and told me it couldâve been my
fault when it was obvious that theyâve driven on the
run flat and the rim was tearing the tire. Then I took
the truck to a BMW dealership which they told me it
was fine and theyâll fix whatever is wrong. On the
diagnostic, the truck came back a condenser issue,
strut issues, and the transmission fluid needed to

Carlos and Rajheem are nice polite gentlemen who listen and care. Everyone else I dealt with seemed like untrained children to be honest. 3 stars because a lot of time was wasted because their high fees are not up front. $4499 in acquisitions on top of 999 dealership fees not including taxes and dmv fees. While they were willing to work with me I am not interested in paying that much for a 2017 when I was looking for a newer one. Should have checked bbb before coming
This dealer will post a car and end of the day he will add 8k on the posted price and sometimes you will call for a car they will tell you they have it and after arriving there they will tell you the car was sold and starting to propose you different cars.. they have only one manager and you can get there at 8 in the morning and finish there by 5pm in the after a long day…you come out dissatisfied don’t recommend you this dealership

I don’t usually right reviews but on this dealership i have to! So i inquired a vehicle about a week ago i called them to tell them i was interested in that car they told me from the jump that they have people looking at and it could be sold by the time i get there because of how low of inventory dealerships have they are super busy! So i understood i am in the navy so they respected and honored there military discount i went there and i found the car of my dreams! They have fees which they disclose up front before they moved forward and its a cost of them doing business so i understand! They gave me all the money for my trade because car values are to the roof! So these guys hands down has my business for life because of there hospitality and how real they are from the jump! So if your in the market for a vehicle don't judge a book by its cover these guys are real and they will make it happen for you they really did exceed my expectations and did not try to beat me!

The worst dealership I have ever been in touch with. First of all, when you call them they never say Hi
how are you, all they say is "What" They never give you the correct info, they tell you that they will call
you back but never call me back. They lie about their cars, they never update their inventory, they have
sold cars on their inventory, then they tell you that they have the car but when you go to the dealership
they tell you that they sold the car. No wonder why this dealership has one of the WORST RATINGS.

I am a skeptic whenever I see a deal that is too good to be true. There always seems to be a catch that totally dismisses any possibilities of a great experience. Well I am so glad to say this is not the case for me with Merlex Auto. They have some ot the most exclusive vehicles at the best prices and in such good condition that it makes it hard to makes it hard to chose just one . It's cool tho because the hardworking attentive and informed staff especially Mike the sales guy while helped me all make you look forward to returning for a second and third purchase. I really can't convey how really impressed and happy i have been with this place. I. Not one to review a business on the regular but occasionally one comes along that deserves recognition and that I want to share with others so they can have the same experience thst we so Often we did t get When shopping I. Yes, the dealer reached out to me several times and I did purchase the 2019 GLE 400 offered by this dealer. My saleperson, Mike, was
helpful but of course when I got to the negotiation table with Wali, they wanted to add all types of added fees, etc which I didn't agree to. Also,
I was told it was a leased vehicle with 2 keys but after the purchase was completed I was only given one key. I called to follow-up regarding
the key and of course, several calls were not answered or not returned. I would suggest that that buyers are prepared to insist on paying the
price that is advertised, get everything for your car before you leave the dealership and do not expect them to follow up with anything they say.

Julio and Walter gave me best experience. Schedule my appointment and they had car cleaned up and ready when I got there. They had me in test drive first 5 minutes of arrival. Very quick and easy process. Even stayed after hours to finish my deal and everything. Love these guys will definitely purchase again or refer and friends or family. They posted a car with low price which they don't have it in the inventory and set schedule for driving test through phone call, by the time you get there they will tell you that they don't have that car for some reason and trying to show you other options with worst costumer service I ever had before.
Be aware, this dealer is no honest. This car is not Hybrid anymore. The main Battery is damaged. He did not disclose this important information on this add. Also, when I called, they did not say anything about it until I drove with my family over 3 hours to get there and then he said so. This is not a decent business and I recommend not to do buisness with this dealership.

I understand dealerships have fees. I own a dealership also and we have fees. BUT this car, 2014 Mercedes S550, was advertised and listed at $45,555. They proclaimed that this price was only a Dealer to Dealer price and only for dealers in the DC area. So the price was changed to $47,996 and then they added the "fees" and the price was now $52,088. This doesn't include tax or tags or anything like that because I am an out of state dealer and they said they won't charge those fees to me, I will pay those fees when I register the car in my state. I told them I can pay cash or finance the car, whatever is cheaper. They said that is the price either way. So let's summarize, that is $6,533 in additionto the advertised price. RUN THE OTHER WAY PEOPLE! Advertised price $45,555. Actual price is $52,088 and I still have to pay all my local state fees myself.

If your reading this i repeat if your trying to buy a car by driving long distance do not go here unless you like wasting your time and money. The price you see is just to get you to the car lot they added 2k to the price saying that’s only cash price then they added a certified/cleaning fee as the car couldn’t have been certified because it was running rough and making a grinding noise and the inside was not detailed enough to even think about charging extra for. While driving I was letting him know there was something wrong with the car he said nothing but when I said the radio sounds good then he responds yes nice sounds lol anyway the price was 32k when it was time to talk numbers the end price was like 40K lol with no warranty included but they still tried to sell me the car after I told him I can’t drive escalade that’s hesitating and grinding 3rd back home like this then they tried to lower the price a lil I said ok ok but then I thought again I still can’t drive lol ps beware

I called the dealership about an escalade. I was dealing with a salesman by the name of Jay. He told me that I would be guaranteed for financing even though I'm all the way in Norfolk VA. I got to the dealership and test drove the car. Immediately I fell in love with the atmosphere and purchased the escalade. The numbers were right and I love the car.

I want to personally thank everybody at Merlex Auto Group especially my salesman Mike Brown and the finance manager Carlos I came here from Baltimore Maryland it was about a 2 hour drive so I wanted to make sure the car was here because I had bad experiences before going to other dealers and not only was it there but it was washed & gassed up when I came in and cashed out and the whole process was smooth & faster than I expected which was relief becasue I had my family here waiting and I couldn’t be happier about it all this is exactly what I was looking for my family and I will be coming back to get a personal vehicle as well. Best of the best! Don’t judge a book by its cover all there cars are clean and major of there cars is one owner with clean title and no accidents. I was really impressed because I do loads of amounts of research before I go to any dealership now due to previous experiences and I was glad i didn’t judge and pass on it now me & my family are in good hands!
I came here looking for a AMG or a 650 gran coupe. I usually do all my car buying privately because they say you get a better deal and a better maintained car BUT this DEALER had a car that no other dealer had. A lot of dealers give you a good deal in YOUR eyes but at the end of the day if you’re buying a basic color and interior with no options in a car… you’re not getting a good even if it’s cheap. I ended up buying a 2017 M6 competition package METALLIC blue with RED interior and the dealer showed me that the deal was indeed only a 1000$ deal. They said they payed a little too much for the car but in reality they didn’t because the car had every single option bmw had in the book for this car. You can’t even find this car… Look anywhere

i had an amazing experience at merlex auto group. i purchased a lexus is350 from them. after going in and looking at the car, jake took me on a test drive and i fell in love with the car.
the numbers were great and walter helped me out with the financing. it was an amazing experience over all! The best in the game i highly recommend this guys don’t judge a book by its cover these guys are hands the best in the game they were very fair honest and disclosed to me, all of car buying people know there is a shortage of inventory everywhere and people are charging a market adjustment fee these guys don’t have that crazy fee so give them a shot and you won’t be disappointed

The definition of unprofessional. Was apprehensive going in given their poor reviews and they sure didn’t disappoint on that front. The salesman I originally made appointment with to view vehicle didn’t show up. His coworker showed me but was not interested in allowing me drive the car unless I was going to purchase the it that day, as he directly said “what’s your intention today? If it’s not to buy the car then no, it can’t be driven”. He also informed me if I was aware of the pretty hefty dealer fees that aren’t in the price. A bizarre sales tactic for sure.
They also listed the car as having 1 previous owner when in fact the carfax showed 5 previous owners. When I asked about this I was told “it was well marinated, that’s what really matters”. Curious claim considering they had no service records for the car and none were listed on the carfax. No wonder they’ve had the car sitting on the lot for three months in the tightest market for used cars. Stay away.

get it inspected. I live in the state of Maryland and have to get a state inspection done there. The dealership informed me that it passed Virginia inspection and has the sticker in the window. They also assured me that it would pass MD inspection, so i shouldn't have any issues obtaining my hard tags, as they are getting them for me. Needless to say, It failed Maryland inspection due to poor shocks. I contacted the dealership and spoke to Ray to let them know and they basically told me its nothing they can do. It hasn't even been 3 weeks since i had the car. The shocks are $615.00 per shock for the rear. I think that it's ridiculous to just had put $10k as a down payment and now have to come out the pockets more in less than 3 weeks for a problem that was already there. Even more frustrating, tonight I'm driving to work and the check engine light starts flashing and the truck started shaking really bad. I cut the truck off and restarted it. Car wasn't actually available. I had reached out using CarGurus and received an email from them asking what I'd like to know about the car. After I replied with some pretty
standard questions, I heard nothing for another 12 hours only to be told the car was sold the day before and to asked if there was anything else in their inventory I'd like to
know more about. I said the only reason I reached out to them despite being on the other side of the country was for that specific make and model and unless they had
another of them in that price range, I wasn't interested. I felt a bit let down by them because in this inflated market, it's tough to find exactly what you want without insane
prices and if they had done their due diligence and removed the posting when it was sold, I wouldn't have wasted my time reaching out to them. Aside from that, they didn't do
anything bad, just would've liked them to be more transparent and honest by removing posts for vehicles already sold.

They never disclosed the major damage to the car door. The car was extremely dirty to cover up all the major scrapes and scratches. The interior had never been cleaned either. Dealership seemed shady. I do not recommend this place at all. Wasted 2 hours driving there. Save your time and go to a representable place. Oh and parking is not located at the same site.

Not happy with this dealership. Well not buy a car from them again. If I would have been able to I would have walked away from this dealership. The car was $15,000 in the end it was 17900+ plus more and more add on. In the end I paid over $18,000 plus for the car. In a few days there was a problem with the cooling system and it was in the garage being fix and it will need to go into the VW Dealership for repairs to the cooling system. I have no heat in the car. At the time I was in a very great need for a replacement work car and looking back I should have walked away.

TERRIBLE! If you're going there to get a deal, you won't get it. They had me come to their "dealership" so I could test drive a car that was was no longer available. It's still on their website and it's been 10 days since my visit. They were very inattentive, disorganized and bordered on unprofessional.
They're not going to give you a better deal than you can get anywhere else.. and anywhere else will likely serve you better.
They have really nice cars and they sell fast but the prices they have on the webaite are not accurate. Showed up to see a vehicle priced at 24,999 manager called me back the following day because he was to busy to talk about negotiations the same day after I drove two hours. Prior to his called I received a text they would sell me car for 26k but I had to pay for my taxe on top of that and when the manager called he said car was actually 29,500 and some change. not sure how we started at 24,99 and ended at about 30k. Waist of time.

I called a few days later to check on the status of my application and he didn’t know who I was or what car I was talking about because someone had sold the car. I just felt like they weren’t honest.
BUYER BEWARE!! The negative reviews are true.. Textbook bait and switch dealer. They lower their prices to get you in the door then charge thousands in fees. Offered $23k for a range rover that they had listed for $26k. Salesperson said that price is impossible and that I'd be looking at $33k with taxes and fees. Even if I agreed to the listed $26k price, where does the extra $6k come from? Salesperson was rude!

Do not deal with this guys, this is the worst experience I ever had. I requested info for two cars, but no one called. The sent me and email just to ask for my trade-in vehicle information, but after that nobody call. I called ant talked with guy name Royce, he also requested my car info but did not respond afterwards. They are also kind of ignorant, because I was trying to check if the vehicle I am looking for is available, but the guy just didn't listen and all I heard from him was " Come here, come to the dealership " . I was telling him that I am located 90 miles away, but this guy just didn't get it.

Horrible dealer. While the ad says it’s a $1000 transaction fee in VA ($500) in MD, they tried to hit me with a $2,800 fee and no wiggle in the car price. Don’t try if you’re looking for a deal.
They are con artists. The price you see is not what you're going to pay. The car was listed as 17,966 but the paperwork says 18,996 .They promised me a out the door prce with taxes included but after I brought them that amount they say the taxes weren't included. They have a processing fee of 999.00 plus two other small fees and then they added a 1000.00 for no reason. Obviously they scam people all the time after reading other reviews.

11/12/20, they had it listed at $17,966. Today doing my review for Car Gurus, I noticed they had
raised the price by $4000. Reading other reviews, this seems to be a common practice by
Merlex. Some reviews are saying they raise the prices after they've driven for a hour or so to

I did inquiry about the 2019 Mercedes Benz GLS 450 Silver color, after setting up the appointment I drove 2 hours and once I get here JJ the employee say it's pending and can't sell it, then offers me other vehicles, I see they been doing this with many customers, they have no respect to your time and very dishonest
On multiple occasions, I requested an out the door price quote and they blatantly ignored me, but kept asking me to come in for a test drive. Looks like others have also had the same issue with this dealer, their advertised prices aren’t real, it’s just there to suck you in. I contacted several other dealerships and they all provided me with an out the door price quote that I requested. I appreciate transparency and that’s something I did not get here.

I drove 11/2 hours to see this car and they told me the manager purchased it the day before but they had other 550’s- they didn’t call and let me know because they do this all the time to customers. They told me I could buy the car from the manager if the numbers made sense-$47,000+ which is almost $10,000 over their advertised price. The manager said this price was a typo and he couldn’t sell it for that price but the car is still listed for sale at that price. This place is a joke and they misadvertise just to get people in the door. Classic bait and switch-very shady. I would never do business with them!

Out of all of the dealerships I delt with during these trying times this one was the worse.
Poor communication about the car I really wanted to buy. They tried to make me come
into the dealership. They would advertise a car with a price then the guy on the phone
would say "That is not the price I am seeing, come into the dealership." I told him "dude
it is on your website"? I would recommend to be very careful. The better sales person
was Mike Sadiq who provided the proper information I needed he was good so if you

The price of the vehicle was $19,900. My down payment was $13,000 my balance was $7,000,
but when he completed the paperwork, he told me I owed $14,400.00.
i thought to myself that he was trying to pencil whip me. I then told him I had to think about it.

Please read! I read some of the bad reviews, but I wanted a certain truck that I’ve been eyeing. I even had the loan and cash down payment ready to do business. Someone from merlex text me at 8pm Fri I responded and scheduled a test drive the next day at 3pm. Drove and hour and the truck wasn’t even there. They claimed they sold it. It’s still listed for sale and even a “price drop” showed up on the ad for a vehicle not even there. They just try to bait you in and get u to look at something else. We left immediately. have to go there and waste half day to find out

Ahmad said he was going to call me right back after I put in my application. I put it in at 10am and when I called back at 1pm, there was no answer. I text at 1pm he said, they were working on it. But I have not received a credit alert from credit Karma. I usually get an alert when a dealer runs my credit. SMH

Don't waste your time with this dealer. They said the car I was interested in was available. I then scheduled an

horrible experience. Do not work with this dealer. I tried for over a week to get a deal done and then they said the vehicle was sold. I think they price stuff online so cheap to get buyers to engage and then they say the vehicle is sold. All I wanted was close up pictures of any imperfections as I was buying unseen. I could not get those and then they said it was sold. I told them the price was right and I wanted it, "paying cash", but I needed better pictures. after a week of trying they finally said it was sold and asked if I wanted to look at other vehicles.

BEWARE OF This dealer, they are not honest. If you do buy a vehicle from them read your contract very carefully before you sign because they will change things. I paid cash for extended warranty (2900 dollars) and they made it part of my down payment and I never Got the extended warranty. When I tried to get my money back for the extended warranty. I couldn’t because it was entered on the contract as a No refunded down payment. I am still waiting on the title for the vehicle. Stay far away from this dealership!!!!!!!

Initially, team did a great job of reaching out online. However, sales rep called very unprofessionally and ended up placing me on hold after a

Working with them was a very positive experience. They were communicative without being overbearing. Accommodating when meeting,
scheduling and conducting the test drive, and answering questions. Allowed me plenty of time to look the car over without hovering and

I was really interested in this car. I was contacted numerous times and each time I ask the simple question about what their dealer fees were and what additional fees did they charge in addition to the standard tax and tags. I never recieved an answer. I only received further contacts trying to get me to come in, when's the best time to call me, etc. I wanted then to simply send it to me in black and white. I hate wasting my time and others when it's completely avoidable. Merlex draws people in with the lower competitor prices, but I am left to believe they make up for it with all the fees that they're not proud about. If they respond to this post without addressing my issue, then they've proved my point. It's particularly frustrating when their not transparent enough to answer a simple question. If they'd waive those fees as compensation for the aggravation, I'd seriously consider purchasing one of three cars that I am interested in. My search continues.

Poor - after an initial enquiry via CarGurus as I was travelling with work and unable
to talk live, asking 2 basic questions to rule the vehicle in or out of my search, I
received multiple auto generated responses and no answer to my information
request.
When a human did take the time to reply they ignored the content of my previous
emails. One week on and crickets - strange when trying to sell anything - Does the
vehicle even exist I wonder? To be avoided.

intent to purchase, Merlex stated that they didn't have the title for the car yet and would call me
when they did. They didn't call and the car was marked as sold the next day. Not sure it was

Although the experience was a good one overall, I did experience a lack of follow up and return calls form the sales
staff. I was also told that the car I was interested in had been sold, and yet I see it is still being offered for sale. Not
sure if it's available or not as I can not get a return call or email
Went back twice and both times the car was sold but I was not informed until I drive 2 hours to get there.

Sorry I got to busy to get over there. But my phone experience was fine
Advertised vehicle was not available, salesperson danced around the idea but never stated if the vehicle was ever there. When I left I received a text from a sales manager, she stated that the vehicle that I had inquired about was in fact available and requested that I return, when I replied asking what was the vehicle that I requested, I got no further response. This vehicle was posted for sale only recently I secured financing and was ready to buy and got the run around, they have posted signs that advertise a $1000 handling fee for buying a car from them, just ridiculous, I won't be returning there ever.

Made a special trip to this dealership and had talked with two (2) individuals prior to traveling over three (3) hours. When I arrived I was told the vehicle was probably in a storage facility and they were to busy, suggested I come back another day. Horrible experience. Do not recommend this

them zero stars. Drove to dealership the car i
inquired about wasnt there. It was a very rushed
chaotic experience. They have a 1000.00 dealer
processing fee, 850.00 reconditioning fee. They
ask to run your credit before you even see or test
drive a car. No privacy at all when talking about
personal finance options. Salesmen have no idea
what there inventory is. They try and rush you
into a purchase before you even get a chance to

When I expressed interest in a car they were quick to respond!! When I asked why certain things like the shifter knob wasnt lined up and if wheels had curb rash they did not respond at all!! Could be an honest mistake or could be shady!! Regardless of which one it was it has been almost 2 weeks and no response so they have lost my business.

a salesman I’m told that car is no longer

Extremely unprofessional. My husband called to set up an appointment, he stated it was an Escalade that I had requested information online, gave him my name, etc. the man said that wasn't enough information. My husband tried calling me to ask and I was busy and could not answer. He then called the dealership back and the same man answered. He told him he couldn't get ahold of me and tried to explain it more. The man cut my husband off from speaking and said, "Sir, I have 65 Escalades here, unless you know more details all you're doing is wasting my time" and so my husband said, "let me speak to xxx (the salesperson who originally contacted us)" and the man said, "she doesn't want to talk to you!" And hung up! And then my husband called back and the same man would pick up and hang up or pick up, say something ignorant and hang up again. It is the most bizarre experience we’ve had ever while car hunting.

I had a wonderful experience via email with Merlex about this amazing vehicle
Horrible! I had a scheduled appointment but was never told the car sold before I got there. Instead they tried to upsell me on another vehicle. The rep I talked to was nice, but the surrounding salesmen were snobby, arrogant amd dismissive. Not to mention there was no where to park. They seemed more concerned about me moving my car than selling me one.

Watch their pricing. Tired to slip in a approximately $800 "reconditioning " fee on the buyers order
on top of the sales price. Also their dealer fee is $999. Wow! I have purchased over 15 imports in
my life time and I have never seen a "reconditioning fee." Just list the actually car price and let

Strongly suggest keep away from them. As expected true con artists with polite approach but sinister practice! Purchased the car and per agreement they were to take care of any issues MD State would fail car inspection. Salesman Masi aka “Maserati” and Frank the finance guy never returned calls nor text nor emails. Since I paid cash they could care less. Strongly suggest stay away from them.

I was skeptical to even call this place after reading the reviews but I did it anyway.
First I get an text back saying they have a prospective buyer for it and sent their website info. to look for something else. I replied what's that mean? I'm a prospective buyer also. Can I buy it today? No reply. 2 days later I get a text with the website info "touching base" and if I found anything I liked they could help me. Funny they didn't answer me on the one I was ready to buy. So I called and talked to Mike and he said it was in the computer as available. I told him I'd call him the next day (today) to arrange a test drive.
I called, they told me to call back in 10 minutes, I called 15 minutes later and they said he is with a customer so I left my name and number. Waited about 3 hours, no call back. So I called again and finally got hold of him, now he says they are waiting on someone from overseas to wire them the money for it. Wow my money is right here! Quite the clown show!

You can tell these are a bunch of mostly young and unprofessional sales people. A true and experienced sales person establishes rapport with a potential customer and therefore is also relatable. These people are nothing like that. I called and spoke with one guy whose ego was so over inflated you didn't even have to take a guess at it! He really loved hearing himself talk and it was so obvious he doesn't listen...guess he doesn't know that's why we're given two ears and one mouth instead of two mouths and one ear. At one point, I mentioned to him that I would like to negotiate with him and he literally said to me, "I'm not a negotiator, I'm a sniper!" And yes, he said it as if there was an exclamation point at the end. So, he gets another call while he's on the phone with me (thank God!) and has to end our call and says he'll call me back (fair enough). Well, I get a call and a message from another guy instead of "Mr. Sniper". I call back and the guy already went home. Beware!
The car that I was looking to buy is still posted on website even though it has already been sold. Was planning to drive up to look at it. I think it would serve you well to remove a vehicle as soon as it’s sold. I can’t imagine driving 4 hours only to discover car is not available. Very disappointed.

They asked if I made a deposit on the car , which I had not even seen yet .

I had an amazing experience with the staff and management that helped my purchase less stressful and more of a valued experience. The inventory of car selection was superb and I highly recommend for you next car purchase...I told everyone I know about this dealership because of their wide range of high end luxury vehicles and they purchase cars that have impeccable service records so that helped me tremendously...One last thing they can be a little pushy as most dealerships are but it was the very push I needed to make the purchase the car of my dreams and I am super duper happy..

Beyond shady "Buy here/Pay here" type shop, catering to subprime borrowers trying to get a Lexus. Seems like all their more desirable advertised cars are bait and switch, when you email they tell you they absolutely have it and "set an appointment:" to test drive it, but when you get there, no one is expecting you and the salesmen have been instructed to respond with "that car sold Saturday, we just haven't updated the listing yet, but I have a similar model..." (And the original listings stay up for months afterwards.)

After having the car for a week I needed an oil change and found the the wipers and headlight were bad. Not to say they handed me the car with no gas. It has been the worse experience.

I have had an awful time dealing with these people. I first called them and
talked to Zach, who promised to call me right back. I waited a few days
and got nothing. I live out of the area, so I had a friend who lives near
them go to look at the car for me. A man named Cobra opened the car for
him and I got to see the car via FaceTime. Cobra was going to follow up
with me. He called me a few days later, and it seemed like he misdialed
me. He told me he would call me right back. Nothing for at least two
weeks. Then I sent a message to them via CarGurus. I did get prompt
response, and got a voice mail from Mo. When I called back and asked for
Mo, I was put on hold for 7 minutes. Then I got a call back from Cobra,
who seemed to get offended when I asked him what the bottom line was
on the car. He then left me a condescending voice mail explaining how
used car prices aren't negotiable. It's frustrating. I have the cash to buy
the car. I like the car. And they are making it impossible to do business
with them.

Smart, attentive and personable...they listened to what I wanted and worked to address my needs. When I pulled up, someone was washing the car I was interested in for my test drive and throughout my visit they showed that kind of attention to detail.

I had to explain to the salesman, numerous times, what I'm looking for.
Example, I repeatedly told him I do not want a black vehicle; I owned a
black vehicle in the past and know how arduous it is to keep them clean,
and I now live on a dirt road, which I also told him. He was polite and
friendly; however, he kept ignoring or forgetting what my preferences were,
and finally, at last, I told him, I am not going to settle. I plan on keeping my
car for several years, so I want to be sure it is something I'm going to be
happy with, and that currently he does not have what would meet my
criteria in his inventory; that if and when he does, to call me then.
Didnt end up purchasing a car from here but Sean was great answering any
questions I had pertaining the vehicle I was looking at.

I’m giving them a 1 on communication. I got the canned email first, got a second email from a fe-mail sales person whom I asked my questions of how many owners? And when is the warranty up and how flexible are they on the price. I did not get a reply but another canned email from another person with same questions as the first canned email email. So I reapplied that I had already sent in an email asking my questions waiting on a response. I then got another canned email asking me what was holding me back, canned email. I was like how about a real person answering he questions I sent in. So I reiterated what my experience was. Never answered the questions I asked but assured me they could help. Not by my current experience, I figured I would get another canned reply so I gave up.

I called to test drive a car and I actually setted up an appointment for 1 o’clock and when I get there I tell The salesmen Julien that I have an appointment and he told me I had to park in the garage (didn’t mention they could validate my parking) and he would take care of me. So when I come inside he first asks if I wanted to finance a car and when I told him I just wanted to test drive and wasn’t looking to buy that day the nice salesman act went out the window. In fact nothing was even set up for me for a test drive either and I was told since I’m not buying anything that day I can’t test drive because they would have to move too many cars to get to the one I wanted. I even asked could I ATLEAST sit down in the car and they told me yea I could, wait 15 mins. I ended up sitting for 35 mins before I just got up and left. Nobody helped me at all. I really just wanted to sit down in the car since I drove 45 mins Away to test drive a car I couldn’t even test drive... ya have to treat people better u never know what blessings you’re blocking from treating people that way. And from the looks of the rest of the reviews I’m not the first to get treated poorly.

They have an excellent selection vehicles, prices are as advertised. Only issue is parking, their lot is full vehicles and you have park in a parking garage across the street. They pay for the parking but not knowing the situation and arriving at night was a little tricky. Other than the parking I would recommend this dealership.

Actually wish I could give them 0 stars! Julian is nice let me say that first, but I don't feel like he has the authority needed to help in my situation. First I was lied to about the monthly payments that I would be paying on my vehicle, once the paperwork and check was signed I called my bank to only find out they increased the price! Second the website had multiple features on the car that the actual vehicle DOESNT HAVE! Lastly I took it for MD inspection it didn't pass and guess what?! Merlex wanted me to pay for the repairs after a few days of having the vehicle. DONT buy from them at all BEWARE! They are scam

Talked with a gentleman on the phone!! He said he was new!! He did not think any cars came with warranty!! They are bought from auctions he told me!! I was not impressed!! Then got an email that they do have warranty’s!! Not impressed with employees!! Should not have them answer phones if they are not trained on the services you provide!!

Totally unprofessional... Mike lied about the silver low mile ML 63
being available... Tried to sell me a black ML 63 with (much higher miles).
After the fact... some guy Julien called my wife a her work place, and got
her upset, all over again. Call the company (Mike) and just got the dummy
run around.... Put on hold twice.. until this guy just hung up.

Would not recommend to anyone. Told me that I would need to trade in my car to another dealer first because they would only give $1,000 and I got $4,200 from a Lexus
dealer. Told me their prices are firm, yet they lower them on all cars on their website. One of the Lexus they are selling had no accident on the description but carfax reported
an accident. Very shady dealer. Stay away. I would give them zero rating but can't do that

Wouldn't recommend them to anyone! They are keeping these vehicles on here and don't even have them! They told me a month they were just sold that day and when I called back yesterday they told me the same thing that they just sold that day! Becareful with them! Beware!

Merlex Auto Group kept calling me to come in to see the vehicle. When I finally came in, the salesman told me that I couldn’t test drive the car until I traded my current
car in to another dealership that would give me more money. Really? I am a black man so this has not been the first and will not be the last time I have been
discriminated against. I left the dealership and explained the situation to the salesman that had been calling me. He told me to come back and guaranteed that he would
make it right. I test drove the vehicle and let these guys run my credit. Boy did these attitudes change when they realized a black man in gym clothes actually qualified.
Everyone was not bad. I must say the finance manager was a very cool guy. He did his best to make it right and I almost bought a car from him. But I just couldn’t
purchase a vehicle from this company after being discriminated against.

Alex and Lorenzo were excellent and went completely out of their way to make sure that we were satisfied. They matched our carmax trade in quote, worked with different banks to get best interest rate. Really have a good personal touch to the overall experience.

inaudible and claimed to be alone in the office...it sounded like he was in the
bathroom...rather than saying he was busy and offering to call back. He
offered no assistance and was not helpful at all...Oh well I guess will be
taking my business elsewhere. They don't update their website and they do
not know their inventory.

who was of no assistance. He responded to questions rather than answered
them. I got the impression he was merely speaking from a script and had

Twice i have contacted this dealer. Each time I only get automated emails. Because of this I physically went to the delership in April to see about this Jeep, where they told me it sold. Two days before I was supposed to go look at the car I called and asked them to email me the carfax the sale man told me that soon as he off the phone with me he will send it. Well three days later and I am still waiting for it to show up. All I could say about this something is not right with this dealer every one can'tbe wrong. P.S shop at your own risk

I contracted the dealer told them I was pre approved for a loan ask was the car on the lot that I wanted told them I had a trade in drove for a hour car that wanted wasn't on the lot but I was going to by another but they would not take my trade in their advice is I let my trade in go back as a Repo and they would let me have the car caus I told them I wasn't gonna carry two car notes I would not recommend this place to anyone but it's their choice but they are going to be highly disappointed

Prior to going to Merlex Auto Group, I would've believed some of this comments here but it all started before I got to the lot! Walter and his gang made sure all my concerns, questions, statistical information about the 2010 Mercedes Benz S550 was disclosed to me upon request. The transparency with which they cater to me made it easy and remarkably meaningful. I felt like a family! I'm not here saying that the stories here are false or correct; I'm speaking from my personal experiance.
Walter, called early in the morning with an exciting tone telling me that the vehicle that I was looking for was on the lot and it was in immaculate condition! I felt compelled to come on down. However, what did it for me was the fact that he took a genuine interest at why I wanted the S550 and respectfully suggesting that if I wanted a more assertive ride in terms of torque, horsepower, and stability to consider a 2012 CLS550 AMG. I skeptically accepted to look at them both. I had never driven a CLS550 before I didn't know what I didn't know. We made a concrete appointment with my heart on the S550 but fully aware of the new experiance that I had open too; CLS550 AMG.
When I arrived, Walter came to greet me and without wasting my time took me to the S550! He was right it was so beautifully maintain and the deep space black just engulfed the body of the vehicle while simultaneously providing a contrast to the chrome on the widows. It was a graceful and peaceful ride! Don't get me wrong, it blow away my expectation of what driving an S550 was going to be like but when I felt the assertiveness and aggressive roar of the 2012 Mercedes Benz CLS550 AMG; it was different! I felt the same way that I did with the S550 but with CLS550 AMG it just took it further. I had my expectation cosmetically, performance, and customer service not only met but blown outta' the map. I was enamored!
I promptly told, " Walter, I want the CLS550 AMG, what's next?" People you to be clear on your intent, sometime we expect others to assume we want and need something without communicating our needs and being open to some suggestions. I came for an S550 but left with a CLS550 AMG, I communicated that I wanted a lighter vehicle with an aggressive demeanor to it's performance. Walter listen, respectfully suggested, and more importantly I kept my options open! Again, I was clear and Walter reciprocated, I didn't leave anything to assumption and he communicated transparently. It was a comfortable and easy purchase because I knew what I wanted and was correctly nudged on to the right vehicle all it took to buy the CLS 550 AMG was 35 minutes!
Walter then proceeded to invite me to some ham and pineapple pizza on his behalf, I accepted and while the lot boys washed my new car! Walter shared a bit about himself and how the whole family business started. I've always been inspired, motivated, and have found an easy way to relate to people who are honest, ethical, and who approach life with a fighters attitude! I would advice Walter to continue doing what he has been doing, it'll benefit him tremendously over time! Hard work always pays off; no exceptions! Walter is a young smart man with a compelling vision for what expects from himself and simultaneously the unique way with which he approaches his customer is above par.

One evening I called Merlex Auto Group about a Porsche Cayenne GTS
and was told the vehicle was sold. The next morning and different
employee called and invited me out to see the same Cayenne. When
questioned about the "acurate status" of the vehicle the second sales
person did not definitively provide and answer but invited me in to see
the vehicle. Multiple attempts to contact a Merlex Auto Group
"manager" failed. This prompted me to check out other "reviews" and I
have to admit, my experience with Merlex is consistent with several
other negative reviews pointing out irresponsible if not misleading sales
practices.

On my first visit, after displaying some experience in purchasing new or used
vehicles and letting them know I wasn't a fool, the vehicle was taken off the
lot when I went back to purchase. They said it had been sent to Lexus for
checking and was not a good vehicle to sell at this time. I left driving the car I
arrived in. In addition, after scheduling my appointment to pick up the
vehicle, the price was raised by $1000.00. The original price listed when I

Merlex Auto Group are extremely dishonest. This vehicle does not exist on their lot. They tell people that they have certain cars just to bring them for possible business with other vehicles. Its a shame that people will lie in order to get a sale! Its sad that a business in our Arlington area could do that to people. I just wanted the car they advertise and they have never had it. Weeks later a friend responded to the same car and they claimed they had it but they again lied, Merlex does not have this car at all. I will never purchase a vehicle from this company, nor will I recommend any of my friends or relatives to this deceiving company. Stay clear from these people.

The salesmen were nice, however very pushy. They insisted on a credit application be filled out before even test driving a car. After test driving the car they pressure you into signing a deal on the car with little discussion. I walked out when they slapped a $1000 dealer documentation fee on top of the asking price with no flexibility whatsoever. They like to play games, be aware.

I had a similar experience to previous posts. I made an apt to do a test
drive. When I arrived, the car was not on the lot. Initially I was told that it
was in the shop. Then I was told that it was still at the auction site. I am
not even sure that they own it. I will never go back.

Not pleasant. Ladies, make sure to take your mechanic or someone knowledgeable about cars; otherwise, YOU will incur charges that they will claim is not their responsibility. Out-State Buyer, they are not responsible for the vehicle passing your State Inspection. You will be responsible for fixing anything wrong that is found wrong during the inspection.

Car wasn't on lot suppose to be at a shop
getting oil change, if you are selling a car it
should have been ready to show and be on the
lot, drove a hundred miles and could not see or
test drive ,something just don't add up . Not a
good way to do business, I think I will shop
close to home for now on.

Car not on lot never mentioned this until
I arrived there, disappointed. Seemed a
little interesting.
