• S: The entry trim brings a 12.9-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto, and the standard 2.0-liter turbocharged engine; it suits shoppers who want the Tiguan’s core features at the lowest price.

• SEL R-Line Turbo: This top trim adds the 268-horsepower engine, 4Motion AWD, 20-inch wheels, two-tone Varenna leather upholstery, quilted stitching, a 15-inch touchscreen, and a 12-speaker Harman Kardon audio system; it suits buyers who want the most powerful and most luxurious Tiguan.

What Volkswagen Tiguan do most buyers choose?

The Volkswagen Tiguan years with the most listings are 2023, 2024, and 2022.

These higher-volume model years tend to draw the most attention because they offer a broad mix of availability, pricing, and newer features. When more listings are on the market, you usually get more chances to compare trims, mileage, and condition.

What is the Volkswagen Tiguan's resale value?

Most Tiguan model years are down year over year, and several recent ones show double-digit declines. That pattern can work in your favor if you’re shopping used, since it creates more room to find value across a wide range of years. The smaller declines at the lower end of the table suggest some older examples have softened less than the newer ones.

The 2014, 2016, and 2024 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
