I test drive an 06 truck there, we agreed to have it looked at by Tick's in Ipswich- the dealer, Lou Falzone, brought it there himself and left it w Shaun for the day. I paid Tick's for the used car evaluation during which he found that the truck needed new shocks and struts, the sun roof electrical system was worn out and the power steering and radiator were leaking- easy enough fixes on a Toyota. So Lou said if I paid his asking price "he'd bring it to his guy and fix everything" so I put a deposit on it and waited. Then got a text that it was ready When I went to test drive it, Lou's son was obstensibly at the registry, getting my plates for it- great- so I COULDNT test drive it because there were no dealer plates available and BTW "my guy didn't replace the shocks and struts because they weren't broken...but I'll give you a warrenty on them" I didn't pay for the truck then, it didn't get registered because the registry was closed but Lou pushed all the sale paperwork across to me while I was there, including the Title, before I had a chance to think about what he'd said to me. That the "shocks weren't broken" If the shocks actually BROKE on a Toyota 4 runner- that would be a catastrophic failure- Lou "and his repair guy" down Rt 1 in Topsfield w a bunch of broken down beaters in his lot- just either didn't KNOW - or didn't WANT the added expense for what he was into this 4Runner for. But to sit there and tell me from the be that he'll " fix everything on Tick's list that he found, w my guy in Topsfield because it'll be so much cheaper- it'll only cost me 800. If you take it to Tick's it'll cost you 2 grand ( yup) " - To- " we don't replace shocks if they are not broken" Yup- Lou Falzone- the car guy- in it for "30 years" said that to me.... Then after we looked at the truck again when nobody was on the lot ( he has a sign in his window he lives locally drop him a text) we determined the shocks were indeed worn and needed replacement I texted him about our agreement and meeting his deal. He said in multiple texts Make him a better offer then HE WASNT SELLING ME THE TRUCK, he "wasn't fixing the shocks and struts " HE CALLED THE MECHANIC WHO DID THE EVALUATION AND THREATENED- causing him to file a police report I never got my deposit back. Stay away from this guy. "
