Should I buy a used Toyota Crown now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −8.9% versus a year ago, and the 2023 model is at −1.4%.
• Deal availability: The 2025 model has 32% good and great deals, and the 2023 model has 33.4%.
• Sweet-spot year: The 2024 model has the most listings at a current average price of $36,076. The Toyota Crown offers a quiet cabin, a comfortable ride, and a distinctive crossover-sedan shape that make it easy to live with every day.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: The standard base powertrain uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine paired with a hybrid electric motor/generator fed by a nickel-metal hydride battery pack, and combined output is 236 horsepower; the top Platinum trim is eligible for the Hybrid Max powertrain that upgrades to a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder and a more powerful rear electric motor, and they combine to produce 340 horsepower.
• Tech: Wireless versions of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also included and pair well with the wireless charging pad, and the new infotainment system further benefits from over-the-air (OTA) software updates.
• Safety: Standard safety features include frontal and cross-traffic collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high beams, traffic-sign recognition, and a rear-seat-passenger reminder.
• Starting price: 2023 Toyota Crown prices start at $41,045 for the base XLE trim.

If you're buying used today, the 2024 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
