Interior and exterior are very clean and well kept. This vehicle has no driving issues, but there is a chance this vehicle will soon need a head gasket repair due to white/yellow foam I observed in the oil filled neck after my test drive.

It's an amazing car. The car is valued at a great price. It's only missing a suspension upgrade, however it's current suspension should last some time. I would compare it to a 2019 or 2020 in terms of milage and quality.

I only recently became aware of the WRX and I wrote a letter to Lamborghini saying that after 40 years of thinking any real driver would want their cars. No, the WRX is my dream car! It’s the most beautiful relationship with asphalt ever built. No one complains about the WRX, this car has made grown men cry. If you’re a serious driver, you will need to see the Subaru WRX community — it towers over every other vehicle. It’s got a rally car’s soul.

Why it stands out
The 2014 Subaru Impreza WRX stands out as a performance sedan that still manages to be practical enough for everyday use. In the buying guide, the later 2011-and-newer cars are described as more reliable and arguably better to drive, and the 2014 model also benefits from the carryover updates that brought the navigation system’s Aha smartphone connectivity software. That makes it appealing to buyers who want the WRX STI’s trademark all-wheel-drive performance without giving up the usefulness of a compact car.
What defines this car most is its rally-bred hardware and focused driving character. It uses a turbocharged 2.5-liter boxer four-cylinder engine, a six-speed manual transmission, Subaru’s symmetrical all-wheel drive, and the Driver Controlled Center Differential, which lets the driver adjust traction settings. The car also includes Multi-mode Vehicle Dynamics Control and Subaru Intelligent Drive, along with Brembo performance brakes and Super Sport ABS. Those features give it the kind of grip and adjustability that make it feel far more serious than an ordinary compact sedan.
The tradeoffs are just as clear. The ride is stiff, the back seat is tight, the trunk is nothing remarkable, and the sound system is underwhelming. Even so, the 2014 Subaru Impreza WRX remains attractive because it combines serious performance, all-weather capability, and everyday usability in a package that still feels special.
