Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Nearly 40 safety and driver-assistance systems, including Pre-Safe, Crosswind Assist, Active Emergency Stop Assist, front and rear parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system.

Which Mercedes-Benz GLS trim should I buy?

The 2026 Mercedes-Benz GLS offers these trims:

• GLS 450: The entry trim pairs a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six with mild-hybrid assist, 375 horsepower, 369 pound-feet of torque, a nine-speed automatic transmission, standard 4Matic AWD, and a standard Airmatic adaptive suspension; it suits you if you want the best-value starting point with strong comfort and capability.
• GLS 580: This trim adds more power and a higher level of performance-oriented luxury for buyers who want extra muscle and a more upscale feel.
• AMG GLS 63: The AMG model brings the most performance-focused setup in the lineup, aimed at shoppers who want the sportiest driving character.

What Mercedes-Benz GLS do most buyers choose?

The Mercedes-Benz GLS years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2023.

Higher-volume years tend to be popular because they give you more inventory to compare, which can make it easier to find the right trim, color, and price. They also often sit in the sweet spot between newer features and broader used-market availability.

What is the Mercedes-Benz GLS's resale value?

The GLS shows broad year-over-year price declines across the lineup, which is good news if you’re shopping used. Most model years are down by double digits, so you’re seeing meaningful value compared with prior pricing. The smaller declines at the lower end of the table suggest some older examples have already absorbed more of their price movement.

The 2017, 2023, and 2021 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
