Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: For 2023, Kia has made some previously optional driver-assist features standard, including forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, and a driver attention monitor.
• Infotainment: A digital instrument cluster and 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system are standard on the base LX trim level; higher trim levels get a 10.25-inch touchscreen with navigation, plus wireless phone charging and two USB center console charge ports in addition to the standard port located at the base of the center stack.
• Fuel efficiency: Most 2023 Kia Soul models get EPA-rated fuel economy of 30 mpg combined (28 mpg city, 33 mpg highway), but the Kia Soul EX is rated slightly higher at 31 mpg combined 29 mpg city, 35 mpg highway).

Which Kia Soul trim should I buy?

The 2023 Kia Soul offers these trims:

• LX: The entry trim brings the core Soul formula with the standard digital instrument cluster and 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, plus the standard driver-assist features called out for 2023. It suits you if you want the lowest-cost way into the model.
• S: This trim adds lane change assist, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, and automatic high beams, making it the best-value choice for many shoppers who want more everyday confidence.
• EX: This trim adds the 10.25-inch touchscreen with navigation, wireless phone charging, and two USB center console charge ports, along with the higher EPA fuel-economy rating.
• GT-Line: This trim adds the sportiest look, with optional 18-inch wheels and a more expressive exterior and interior presentation. The GT-Line Technology Package adds a power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, a dual-level cargo floor, a cargo cover, junction-turning forward collision warning, navigation-based adaptive cruise control, and Highway Drive Assist.

What Kia Soul do most buyers choose?

The Kia Soul years with the most listings are 2024, 2023, and 2021.

Those higher-volume years tend to be popular because they give you a strong mix of availability, newer features, and a broad spread of prices. When more listings are on the market, you also get more chances to compare condition, equipment, and deal quality.

What is the Kia Soul's resale value?

Most model years are moving lower year over year, which is helpful if you want to buy used after the sharpest price drops have already happened. A few years are nearly flat, and one is slightly up, so the market is not moving in just one direction across the board. The biggest declines are concentrated in the newer and mid-cycle years, while the smallest changes are clustered near flat.

The 2015 and 2018 model years are holding steady, with prices close to flat year-over-year.

The 2015, 2018, and 2024 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
