Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Honda Sensing
• Infotainment: wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with a 9-inch touchscreen
• Fuel efficiency: official EPA ratings say the HR-V will get 28 mpg in combined city and highway driving with front-wheel drive (FWD) or 27 mpg combined with AWD.

Which Honda HR-V trim should I buy?

The 2026 Honda HR-V offers these trims:

• LX: This is the entry point, and it brings the new 9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless smartphone charger, and Honda Sensing. It suits you if you want the most affordable way into the refreshed HR-V.
• Sport: This trim adds a 17-inch black wheel design, Boost Blue paint, six-speaker audio, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and the same core tech and safety suite. It is the best-value choice if you want a stronger feature mix without moving to the top trim.
• EX-L: This trim adds genuine leather with perforated surfaces and Z-pattern stitching, front footwell lighting, silver steering wheel spokes, eight-speaker audio, gray upholstery availability, and front and rear parking sensors with low-speed automatic braking. It suits you if you want the most upscale cabin and the fullest equipment list.

What Honda HR-V do most buyers choose?

The Honda HR-V years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2023.

These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they give you a broad selection of trims, prices, and deal opportunities. They also sit close enough to the current generation to deliver newer features while still offering used-car savings.

What is the Honda HR-V's resale value?

Most model years are down year over year, which is good news if you’re shopping used and want prices that have softened. A couple of years are essentially flat or slightly higher, so the market is not moving in one direction across every model year. Overall, the pattern favors buyers who want to wait for a better deal or compare several model years before choosing.

The 2017 and 2024 model years are holding steady, with prices close to flat year-over-year.

The 2016, 2024, and 2017 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
