How much does the Dodge Charger cost in today's market?

Used Dodge Charger prices span a wide range depending on model year. Here's what the market looks like right now:

The Dodge Charger’s current nationwide average price is $24,924, and over the past year that average reached a low of $24,369. Recently, prices have eased on the 2021 models, while other recent model years have held firm or risen.

Is the Dodge Charger a good car?

Yes — the Dodge Charger is a strong pick if you want a performance sedan with space and personality. The all-generations owner rating is 4.7/5 across every model year in the data.

Owners consistently praise the Charger for its powerful performance, spacious and comfortable interior, and sporty appeal. Across the model’s run, buyers also repeatedly highlight the strong engine choices and the car’s everyday usability, especially when they want a sedan that still feels exciting to drive.

The main trade-offs that come up most often are fuel economy, safety features, and interior technology, especially in older or less-equipped versions. For used shoppers, that means the Charger makes the most sense if you value character, power, and roominess more than efficiency or the newest cabin tech.

25.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Are Dodge Charger models reliable?

Owners and experts consistently point to the Charger’s strong performance, roomy cabin, and everyday usability as core strengths. Across the model’s history, it has also earned praise for being comfortable, durable, and easy to live with as a daily driver.

• Owners rate the Dodge Charger between 4.2 and 4.9 out of 5 stars across all model years in the data.

For used buyers, long-term ownership risk is most manageable when you choose a well-kept example with a clean history and a thorough pre-purchase inspection.

What should I look for when buying a used Dodge Charger?

Across all model years, at 63.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

Older model years carry meaningfully higher accident rates, so always verify the vehicle history report on pre-2023 models.

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Active Driving Assist, Forward Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking with Vulnerable Road Users Detection, Active Lane Management, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Blind-spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path detection, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Drowsy Driver Detection.
• Infotainment: A 12.3-inch touchscreen display with Uconnect 5 software, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and built-in navigation on Plus models.

Which Dodge Charger trim should I buy?

The 2026 Dodge Charger offers these trims:

• Charger R/T: The entry gas model brings 420 horsepower and all-wheel drive, making it the starting point for buyers who want Charger performance with standard traction.
• Charger Scat Pack: This 550-horsepower trim adds the strongest gas-engine output in the lineup, plus standard all-wheel drive, Launch Control, Line Lock, and Brembo brakes; it’s the best-value choice for shoppers who want the fullest performance experience.
• Charger Scat Pack Plus: This version adds the larger 16-inch digital display, wireless charging, built-in navigation, Turn Signal Active Blind Spot View, and a 360-degree camera, making it the pick for buyers who want the most tech and parking assistance.

What Dodge Charger do most buyers choose?

The Dodge Charger years with the most listings are 2022, 2023, and 2021.

These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they give you more inventory to compare, more pricing flexibility, and a strong mix of modern features and familiar Charger character.

What is the Dodge Charger's resale value?

Most Charger model years in this table are down year over year, which can work in your favor if you’re shopping used. A few newer and mid-cycle years are still rising, so the market is not moving in one direction across the board. The strongest value opportunities are the years showing the steepest declines, while the most recent models continue to command higher prices.

The 2023, 2022, and 2016 model years have held their value best, with prices flat to rising year-over-year.
