Why it stands out
The 2016 Buick LaCrosse stands out as a comfortable, quietly upscale sedan that leans more toward relaxed cruising than sporty driving. Buick gave this generation a curvaceous shape, a clean exterior, and a cabin that was meant to feel modern, while the chassis was shared with the Cadillac XTS and the Saab 9-5. It also benefited from HiPer Strut front suspension, which was designed to help reduce torque steer, and Buick’s QuietTuning approach helped reinforce the car’s calm, insulated character.
For 2016, the LaCrosse added a power driver’s seat, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and updated IntelliLink infotainment, along with a Sport Touring package that included a spoiler and 18-inch wheels. That mix of comfort and technology makes it appealing to buyers who want a traditional sedan with useful modern features. It is not the most engaging choice, though, and the source also notes that early generations were gas guzzlers and that the styling was not universally loved. Still, the 2016 LaCrosse offers a roomy, quiet, and well-equipped alternative for shoppers who value comfort and a more premium feel over image or driving excitement.
