New & Used 2026 RAM 3500 for Sale nearPortland, OR

Is the 2026 RAM 3500 a good car?

The 2026 RAM 3500 is a strong choice if you need maximum capability in a heavy-duty truck, with towing of more than 35,000 pounds and payload of almost 8,000 pounds. It also leans heavily into luxury and technology, with a spacious, comfortable cabin and available features like a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, a 12-inch vertical infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 750-watt Harman Kardon 17-speaker audio system.

That combination makes it appealing if you want a truck that can handle serious work while still feeling well equipped for everyday driving. The tradeoff is that its huge size can be difficult to manage in towns and cities, and the diesel engine is noisy, so it still behaves like a big truck first and foremost.

With 34.0% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market gives you a moderate amount of room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 RAM 3500 reliable?

The 2026 RAM 3500 is presented as a heavy-duty truck that has moved well beyond its original workhorse roots, with a stronger frame, new suspension, and a new transmission for the Hemi models. It also emphasizes modern equipment and a more refined cabin, which supports its appeal as a serious capability truck that can also serve as a daily driver.

At the same time, its size and diesel noise are part of the ownership experience, and those traits can make long-term use less convenient if you regularly drive in tight urban settings. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is owning a very large, highly capable truck whose complexity and size may demand more careful upkeep and more deliberate use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 RAM 3500?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the truck’s condition matches its advertised use, especially if it was worked hard as a tow rig. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the drivetrain, suspension, brakes, tires, and any towing-related equipment, since those areas matter most on a heavy-duty truck.

Should I buy a 2026 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

The bottom line: The 2026 is the right path if you want the current-year heavy-duty RAM 3500 formula with strong capability and a well-equipped cabin. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may give you a similar ownership experience while potentially opening up more value-focused listings.

How does the 2026 RAM 3500 compare to the 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD?

The RAM 3500 has the higher starting MSRP, while the Silverado 3500HD has slightly more listings and a slightly lower starting price. The RAM also has the stronger accident-free share and a marginally better good-and-great deal rate, which may make it the more appealing pick if you value cleaner inventory and a bit more market flexibility.
