New & Used 2026 RAM 3500 for Sale nearSalem, OR

Is the 2026 RAM 3500 a good car?

The 2026 RAM 3500 is a strong choice if you want a heavy-duty truck that combines serious capability with everyday comfort and technology. Its overview highlights class-leading maximum towing and payload capacity from the Cummins turbo diesel engine, along with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, large touchscreen infotainment, wi-fi connectivity, cameras, and a wide range of standard safety features.

It also stands out because it has moved well beyond its original work-truck roots. You get a more aerodynamic design, LED lighting, a stronger frame, new suspension, and a cabin with upgraded materials and available features such as a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, and a 12-inch vertical infotainment system.

For you, the main tradeoff is size. This is a gargantuan truck that can be difficult to manage in towns and cities, and the diesel engine is noted as noisy. Even so, if your priorities are towing, hauling, and a more refined heavy-duty experience, it fits that brief well. 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests a moderate amount of market opportunity.

Is the 2026 RAM 3500 reliable?

The 2026 RAM 3500 is presented as a truck that blends heavy-duty strength with modern comfort and technology, which is a good sign if you want a vehicle built for demanding use. Its overview emphasizes a stronger frame, new suspension, and a powertrain focused on serious capability, while also noting the kind of equipment that makes daily ownership easier.

For used buyers, the long-term risk is tied less to the truck’s mission and more to how hard it has been worked. A heavy-duty pickup like this can be a smart ownership choice if it has been maintained carefully, but you should expect wear to vary a lot depending on towing, hauling, and overall use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 RAM 3500?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and verify that the truck’s use matches the seller’s description, especially if it was used for towing or commercial work. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the drivetrain, suspension, brakes, tires, and interior condition, since heavy-duty trucks can hide hard use even when they look clean on the surface. Focus on overall condition and maintenance evidence rather than mileage alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 RAM 3500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have some room to shop carefully without expecting a flood of bargain pricing.

• Inventory: There are 715 listings available.
• Clean inventory: 96.8% of listings are accident-free.

Should I buy a 2026 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of capability, modern features, and clean-market availability, the 2026 is the primary year to target. If you are more price-sensitive, it makes sense to compare nearby model years and focus on the best-maintained truck with the right equipment and history rather than chasing the newest badge alone.
