New & Used 2026 Hyundai Venue for Sale nearKennewick, WA

Is the 2026 Hyundai Venue a good car?

The 2026 Hyundai Venue earns an expert rating of 5.2/10. The model scores 6/10 across Form and function and Cost effectiveness.

It fits your needs best if you want a small crossover that gives you more cargo space and a more practical layout than a typical subcompact car, while staying easy to park and fuel efficient. The trade-off is clear: the Venue is underpowered, and the cabin leans heavily on plastic with excessive interior noise. Those compromises are part of the package, but the value proposition still makes sense if you want an entry-level vehicle with SUV-like packaging. Good and great deals account for 38.2% of listings, which supports the idea that you can still find competitive pricing.

Is the 2026 Hyundai Venue reliable?

The 2026 Hyundai Venue is positioned as a practical, low-cost crossover, and its front-wheel-drive layout and simple 1.6-liter four-cylinder setup keep the mechanical formula straightforward. It is described as easy to live with, fuel efficient, and built around a value-first approach, which helps explain why it appeals to budget-minded shoppers.

Its performance content also points to a lightweight design that helps it feel manageable in city driving, even if highway passing takes planning. Hyundai’s cost-focused packaging includes a simple, durable-feeling setup rather than a complicated one, and that can be a plus for long-term ownership. For used buyers, the main risk is that the Venue’s low-price mission comes with limited refinement, so you should expect more compromise than you would in a larger or more powerful vehicle.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Hyundai Venue?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re comparing multiple examples with different trim levels and equipment. Focus on overall condition, interior wear, and whether the features you want are actually present on the specific vehicle you’re considering. Because the Venue is a budget-focused model, small differences in equipment and condition can matter a lot.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SE is very basic, while the SEL w/2-Tone Roof adds cloth/synthetic-leather upholstery, heated front seats, wireless phone charging, automatic temperature control, a proximity key with push-button start, and 17-inch wheels. The SEL adds a sunroof and reverts to cloth upholstery.
• Powertrain: The Venue uses a naturally aspirated 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with 121 horsepower and 113 pound-feet of torque, paired with a CVT and front-wheel drive only. It is not quick, but its light weight helps it feel manageable around town.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, a driver-attention monitor, and a rear-occupant warning. All but the base SE also have blind-spot monitors and rear cross-traffic alert.
• Infotainment: You get an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The system does not include navigation, a Wi-Fi hotspot, or SiriusXM satellite radio.
• Fuel efficiency: The Venue is EPA-rated at 29 mpg city, 33 mpg highway, and 31 mpg combined.

Which 2026 Hyundai Venue trim should I buy?

The 2026 Hyundai Venue is offered in 3 trim levels: SE, SEL w/2-Tone Roof, and SEL.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the cheapest way into the Venue, but it is very basic. You get cloth upholstery, a manually adjustable driver’s seat, the 8-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, roof rails, and 15-inch alloy wheels. It makes sense only if your priority is the lowest possible entry price.
• SEL w/2-Tone Roof: This is the best-value trim. It adds the most useful upgrades, including heated front seats, wireless phone charging, automatic temperature control, a proximity key with push-button start, and 17-inch wheels, making it the strongest balance of comfort and convenience.
• SEL: This trim adds a sunroof and keeps the Venue’s budget-friendly formula intact. It is the choice if you want the open-air feature without moving too far up the price ladder.

All but the base SE also get blind-spot monitors and rear cross-traffic alert, so the SEL trims bring a meaningful safety-package upgrade as well.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Hyundai Venue?

The market looks selective rather than overheated, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 38.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,113 listings available.
• Clean inventory: 93.4% of listings are accident-free.

Is the 2026 Hyundai Venue safe?

The 2026 Hyundai Venue earns a four-star overall rating from NHTSA. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety had not released full safety ratings at the time of writing, though the Venue received a top “Good” score in the small front overlap test. Its headlights also got “Acceptable” or “Marginal” ratings, depending on the trim level.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Hyundai includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, a driver-attention monitor, and a rear-occupant warning as standard equipment. All but the base SE also get blind-spot monitors and rear cross-traffic alert, which makes the higher trims more appealing if safety tech matters to you. One caveat is that the driver-attention monitor can be overly sensitive.

Should I buy a 2026 Hyundai Venue or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 38.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• The 2026 Venue keeps the same practical, easy-to-park, fuel-efficient formula while leaning into value and simplicity.

The bottom line: If you want the newest version of the Venue’s small-crossover formula, the 2026 model is a sensible choice because it preserves the model’s practicality and budget-friendly appeal. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth a look, especially if you can find a cleaner example with the trim and features you want.
