How much does the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid cost?

Prices have softened 1.85% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,021 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid a good car?

Yes — the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid earns a 4.8/5 user rating and a 7.8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

The overview and test-drive notes point to a well-rounded compact crossover with a light refresh for 2026, a comfortable ride, and easy-to-use technology. It also benefits from a strong hybrid powertrain that makes it especially appealing if you want an efficient everyday SUV.

The main trade-offs are that its off-road ability is described as underwhelming, and the TrailSport version is not the right fit if adventure driving is a priority. It also lacks SiriusXM radio and has limited tech features, so you should weigh those omissions against its strengths.

The market shows 33.3% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview describes it as a strong choice for buyers looking for an efficient, everyday SUV, and the test-drive notes reinforce that with a hybrid system that feels seamless in normal driving. The powertrain is described as capable and the ride as outstanding, which supports the idea that it should be easy to live with over time.

The hybrid system also brings multiple regenerative braking settings and a one-pedal driving option, which can help with everyday efficiency and reduce wear in routine use. Honda’s warranty coverage adds another layer of reassurance for used buyers.

For long-term ownership, the biggest risk is choosing a trim that doesn’t match your needs, especially if you expect rugged capability from the TrailSport.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or a TrailSport. Focus on overall condition, tire wear, and whether the equipment on the specific trim matches what you expect to use day to day.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lower trims emphasize value and everyday usability, while the TrailSport adds orange badges, 18-inch wheels, all-terrain tires, skid-plate-style trim, black door handles, and TrailSport-specific interior touches. The base LX also misses some convenience equipment found higher up the range.
• Powertrain: The hybrid trims use a 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle engine with two electric motors for 204 hp and 247 lb-ft of torque, and the system replaces a traditional transmission with a two-motor setup. It is efficient and smooth, but it can get noisier on steep climbs.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, and traffic jam assist. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are standard only above the LX trim, and front and rear parking sensors are standard only above the EX level.
• Infotainment: Every 2026 CR-V gets a 9-inch touchscreen, with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto standard. Google built-in is included on Sport Touring trims, and hybrid trims also get a Wi-Fi hotspot.
• Fuel efficiency: The hybrid returns 40 mpg combined on front-wheel-drive models, 37 mpg combined on all-wheel-drive models, and the TrailSport hybrid is rated at 35 mpg combined.

Which 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid trim should I buy?

The 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, TrailSport, Sport-L, and Sport Touring.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point to the hybrid lineup, and it gives you the core hybrid powertrain, standard wireless smartphone integration, and the efficient everyday character that makes the model appealing in the first place. It is the best-value choice if you want the hybrid experience without paying for extras you may not need.
• TrailSport: This trim adds the most distinctive styling and the most adventure-oriented hardware, including all-terrain tires and TrailSport-specific exterior and interior details. It suits you best if you want the look and feel of a more rugged CR-V Hybrid, but the content makes clear that its off-road ability is still limited.
• Sport-L: This trim adds more comfort and convenience equipment, including the larger digital driver display and a richer audio setup than the lower trims. It is a good middle ground if you want a more upscale feel without stepping all the way to the top model.
• Sport Touring: This is the most feature-rich version, with Google built-in and the premium Bose audio system. Choose it if you want the most technology and convenience in the lineup.

Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are standard only above the LX trim, and front and rear parking sensors are standard only above the EX level.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,021 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.85% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $37,389, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid's resale value?

The current average of $38,017 sits slightly below last year's $38,735.

That tells you the market has eased a bit, which can help you as a buyer now but may also mean sellers need to price competitively later. If you own one, the current trend suggests you should expect steady but not rising values in the near term.

The model’s strong demand and broad appeal should help support resale better than less popular alternatives. Well-equipped trims and clean-condition examples are likely to hold buyer interest more effectively than stripped or heavily used ones.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid safe?

The 2026 Honda CR-V had not yet been evaluated by IIHS or NHTSA at the time of this writing, but the mechanically identical 2025 model received a Top Safety Pick designation from the IIHS and five-star ratings for overall crashworthiness by the NHTSA.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard on every model and includes automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist, plus adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, and traffic jam assist. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are standard only above the LX trim, and front and rear parking sensors are standard only above the EX level.

One caveat is that the rearview camera resolution is described as soft, and the TrailSport does not add extra trail-view camera angles.

Should I buy a 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.85% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2026 model adds a light refresh and a new TrailSport trim level.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest version of this hybrid SUV, the 2026 is the right path because it adds the refresh and keeps the model’s strong efficiency, comfort, and usability intact. If your priority is simply getting the lowest possible price, a nearby model year may be worth a look, but the 2026 gives you the newest features and the strongest current market context.
