How much does the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid cost?

Is the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid a good car?

Yes — the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid earns a 4.8/5 user rating and a 7.8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

It stands out as a well-rounded compact crossover with a light refresh for 2026 and a new TrailSport trim level. The hybrid powertrain strengthens its appeal, and the comfortable ride plus easy-to-use technology make it a strong fit if you want an efficient everyday SUV.

The trade-offs are clear: its off-road ability is described as underwhelming, and the TrailSport version may not be the right fit if adventure driving is a priority. It also lacks SiriusXM radio and has limited tech features.

With 37.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid is presented as a practical, comfortable SUV with a hybrid system that strengthens its everyday appeal. The expert review also points to a refined driving experience, with seamless handoff between electric and gasoline power and outstanding ride comfort.

The hybrid setup is described as clever and efficient, and the model’s long-term ownership picture is helped by its broad usefulness and strong market demand. Honda also includes a three-year, 36,000-mile warranty.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a TrailSport or other higher-trim example may bring more complexity and more features to inspect carefully, especially if you plan to keep the vehicle for many years.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a TrailSport or a higher-mileage example. Focus on tire wear, cabin condition, and whether the equipment on the listing matches the trim you expect.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The CR-V Hybrid adds a new TrailSport trim level, and the hybrid lineup also includes Sport, Sport-L, and Sport Touring. The TrailSport gets orange badges, Shark Gray 18-inch wheels, Continental CrossContact ATR tires, black door handles, silver skid-plate-style trim, orange contrast stitching, embroidered headrests, and all-season floor mats, but the source warns that it is not truly built for hard off-road use.
• Powertrain: The hybrid trims use a 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle engine with two electric motors for 204 hp and 247 lb-ft of torque. The system replaces a traditional transmission, offers multiple regenerative braking settings and one-pedal driving, and is more efficient than the gas-only version.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard on every model and includes automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, and traffic jam assist. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are standard only above the LX trim, and front and rear parking sensors are standard only on trims above the EX level.
• Infotainment: Every 2026 CR-V gets a standard 9-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, and a phone-projection button. EX-L, TrailSport, Sport-L, and Sport Touring trims add a 10.2-inch digital driver information display, and Sport Touring adds Google built-in.
• Fuel efficiency: The hybrid returns 40 mpg combined on front-wheel-drive models and 37 mpg combined on all-wheel-drive models. The TrailSport hybrid is rated at 35 mpg combined.

Which 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid trim should I buy?

The 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, TrailSport, Sport-L, and Sport Touring.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point to the hybrid lineup, and it gives you the core hybrid system without moving up into the pricier feature sets. It makes sense if you want the most affordable way into the hybrid CR-V.
• TrailSport: This trim adds the adventure-themed look, all-terrain tires, and extra traction focus, but the source makes clear that it is more bark than bite. Choose it only if you want the styling and light-duty trail flavor, not serious off-road capability.
• Sport-L: This is the best-value pick if you want more comfort and convenience without jumping all the way to the top trim. It adds more equipment than Sport while staying focused on everyday use.
• Sport Touring: This is the most feature-rich choice, with the 10.2-inch digital driver display, Google built-in, and the premium Bose audio system. Buy this one if you want the most tech and convenience.

Honda Sensing is standard across the lineup, but blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are standard only above the LX trim, and front and rear parking sensors are standard only on trims above the EX level.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,077 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.04% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $37,390, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid's resale value?

The current average of $37,954 sits slightly below last year's $38,744.

That softer pricing suggests the model has eased a bit in the used market, which can help you buy at a more favorable point. For a future seller, the current trend implies you should expect some depreciation pressure rather than a rising-price environment.

Even so, the CR-V Hybrid’s broad appeal and efficient hybrid setup should help it remain attractive to shoppers who want a practical compact SUV. If you keep mileage reasonable and maintain the vehicle well, you should be in a better position when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid safe?

The 2026 Honda CR-V had not yet been evaluated by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety or crash-tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration at the time of this writing.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard on every model and includes automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist, plus adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, and traffic jam assist. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are standard only above the LX trim, and front and rear parking sensors are standard only on trims above the EX level.

One caveat to keep in mind is that the TrailSport does not add extra cameras, so you do not get forward-view or side-view angles for trail use.

Should I buy a 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.04% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2026 model adds a light refresh and a new TrailSport trim level, while keeping the hybrid powertrain, comfortable ride, and easy-to-use technology that define the nameplate.

The bottom line: if you want the refreshed version with the new TrailSport option and you value the hybrid’s efficiency and everyday usability, the 2026 is the primary path to consider. If you are more price-sensitive, you may want to focus on the listings that sit near the low end of the range and compare them carefully against nearby model years.
